Steven Thung The FEAR to lost something precious or not getting what one
craves for sets conditions for violence/revenge/god fearing/penalties to take
place between human beings and countries. Bad and collective karma r which some
intepreted as WoG, which again reinforce another layer of fear.
Fear is a
result of ignorance and the solution to this is very simple...Equipped oneself
with a good understanding and practise of the Dharma...
Francesca Poon Hahaha! Alas many use WOG to subdue & control others.
The victims also have fear of Loss of material/form, thus they are susceptible
to being frighten and follow blindly. Thus the natural instinct to defend self
but some went further to ensure they eliminate any threat to self. Hahaha!
Nino Candra The one scary thing is that many people believed that the
teachings of their own religion(s) are of the most correct - leaving them no
chance and need to understand and appreciate the great teachings of other ones.
When seen from the perspective of karma, this is a kind of endless revolving delusion and stupidity. The wise part of Buddhism is that it teaches us with the notion that everyone is a Buddha and we are able to ascend ourselves (back) to be the Buddha. Therefore there's a feeling of equality amongst us.
So the endless revolving of delusion/stupidity that causes endless greed and anger, as per your statement, comes back in a full force known as the WoG. Sadly enough to realise that the endless revolving means that the WoG will continue to occur unless the wheel is destroyed.
Herewith by re-reading the "Back to Basics [5] - Karma and Rebirth" article, we may understand that we are actually the drops of water in the ocean. We are one. We are all brothers. This WoG [5] article is very closely connected to the B2B [5] article.
And when we realise that we are brothers, there will be no need to frighten our brothers and penalise them under the Name of God. We are the Lords of the Universe (themselves).

Francesca Poon So do you guys agree with me that WOG is actually Wrath of
Greedy, Egoistic, Jealous, Ignorant, .... sentient beings that deceive others
by wearing a Face mask of "God"!
Francesca Poon There are many perspective that gave rise to the phenomenon
termed WOG!
Nino Candra Yes. Such an irony for wearing the face mask of 'God'.
Despite many perspectives, but that's what happens the most time. It's like a
brother punishes his other brothers
Francesca Poon WOG is a very fantastic topic to write about. I have not
adequately cover the vast aspect of it. I hope comments & feedback from
readers will help me bring out more aspects. hahaha! Enjoy looking at something
from different angles? That's what the Back to Basics articles are for. To help
build up the foundation for any serious cultivating Yogi! cheers all.
Steven Thung As complicated as it seems to be,all roots of sufferings
come from the attachment of the perception 'I'. From here all hell breaks loose
but on the other side of the coin, its the key to liberation.
Francesca Poon Actually, we can say that it is the Adornments one crave to
put on/own like a Facemask, a Crown, a Dragon Robe, a Ferrari, a castle
.....that are the Root causes of Sufferings which Buddha gave us 4 Noble truths
to eliminate. Do you agree?
Steven Thung 4 Noble truths enable the identification of sufferings and
its root causes.Having understand these will prompt one to set goals to
liberated himself from sufferings and practise the 8fold Noble Path to achieve
the goals.
Steven Thung The context of 'I" is not being fully mentioned but
does contribute to the rise and cessation of sufferings.
Francesca
Poon "I" is
the main causative factor - without it, No Suffering arise, correct?
Francesca Poon "I" can also be Form / Formless varying with
one's mindset. Thats what is so interesting about Dharma.
Steven Thung 'i' is the root of all evil and yet detaching it entirely
is also an extreme view. So walking in the Middle Path is a save bet but there
is still sth beyond this which no words can be used to state the actual TRUTH...
Nino
Candra Once I think that the big
"I" being the universe is in the formless state with the awareness to
direct its mind. This big "I" can also sympathise with us and can
materialise itself. When it directs its mind and intention, it becomes karma.
The actual truth is indeed funny.
Francesca
Poon Therefore the 6th Zen Patriarh
preaches NO Form n one is perpetually in Samodhi when nothing affects one's
mind. No Thoughts!
I had lots of fun during this session. How about you?
