How do One seize a Dharma Throne?
Hi Fashi.
I wont be surprised if u mentioned that XX has 'changed' becos one just need to visit the chapter's website and see the nos of ceremonies held for the whole year...and XX has been doing for many years.
For every action there is a reaction...just like eveything comes with a price.
Look at the examples of Lord Buddha and GM.
I still believe ( I wish i am wrong) whlie living in this samsaric earth, it is the 'dark or opposing' force that rules.
Compare Buddhism to other religions, Buddhism is not the majority.
In Buddhism, how many is practicing the 'truth' vs conventional practise.
Among the 5m students in TBS how many genuinely understand what GM wants ? Instead majority expect GM to fulfil their wants endlessly thru some miracles becos they believe GM is a living Buddha.
I feel most have not see GM as an Awakened One that can lead them to liberation but being elevated to 'Almighty God' status who can grant them those mundane wishes......sigh
I really appreciate your tireless effort to propagate the Dharma .Do gradually slow down some footsteps if it need in the future to preserve and maintain a longer affinity with others.
Even GM also went into retreat for 5.5 years and in between had cheated death.
As disciple of GM, how many can truly maintain his original intention 初發心 along the Bodhi Path,
sounds easy but difficult in practicality .

As to recognition by so called mainstream Buddhism, a true yogi don't need it.
Gm said on 15-10-2011 that you can guiyi or not, don't matter n also you don't owe him & he also don't owe u.
I agree with you that most TBS students treat GM as Almighty God, able to satisfy all their material cravings.
Few truly listen and want to cultivate properly to help themselves.
Sad but very true.
Some are busy zoning territories for themselves, Strengthening their strongholds in preparation of GM's retirement. I think they are even prepared to draw on their troops to fight for the Dharma Throne too. Hahaha!
Any throne other than Dharma Throne, one can fight for.
Dharma Throne does not exist.
It is only for the Buddhas who do not put weight on a Throne and what it signifies.
A whole bunch of sad stories!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
One day during cultivation & in Samadhi, I saw the abbot of a monastery sat up and scream in shock and collapsed.
I dedicated some merits of sutra chanted to him.
It seems he employed a group of lamas from oversea to help him.
The founder abbot who passed on, was impressed by this student's performance and name him his successor.
He was chosen over those elder in hierarchy than him, because he got the Abbot's favour.
There is another more well educated and more compassionate and caring who is his junior that was overlooked.
We should not criticize any Sangha!
Am I breaking precepts?
No!
Are they True Sanghas in the first place?
Those that vie for Thrones, crowns ..... are truly very very Earthly and materialistic.
Those that use their position in any religious institution to further themselves monetarily, vying for fame and fortune so to say, are truly Not True Sanghas. One don't have to shave bald to be a True Yogi too.
The recent scandal of a Sangha misappropriating public funds and being sent to jail after conviction is a good eye-opener to those who follow and worshipped blindly!
Any way, in my humble opinion, One do not seize a Dharma Throne and crown self Dharma King, do you agree?
As for all other thrones, history through the centuries has shown us much of blood shed and etc. where the Throne is concern. Lets learn from our fore-fathers and do not step into those Paths.
A throne is very very much sorth after for it stands for wealth, power, control......
Sadly this is not so with a Dharma Throne.
So please wake up and stop all your plans to seize any thrones especially not the Dharma one.
You only grasp at air!
Buddha is the owner of the universe, he has no need for any Throne.
Like GM, when he attains Buddhahood, he naturally sits on a so-call Dharma Throne, wearing a Dharma Crown. He often said he has no need of any of these materialistic items. They are all Forms which ties one down and hinders one's attainment of Buddhahood or Enlightenment.
The throne??? Is where Buddhas rest on or sit upon to expound Dharma!
Only True Buddhas have such Thrones!
No one can seize these Dharma Thrones from any Buddha!
Hahaha!
