This a very sentient reaction that is very natural and most are unaware of this "ability".
However, this [leaving back-ups] means he is not completely committed to what his is doing currently for one.
It can also partly be due to being betrayed or play-out frequently by others.
It also points to his being partially aware of what he is doing, though unconsciously.
What is my point?
