When I was in the 6-monkeys' forum, I saw someone said I stop going to a local temple because they don't pay me enough!!!
Hahaha!
For your info and all those that try to fabricate untruths, you created negative karma for self only and for those who believed them, and spread the same, you are also into collective karma with them!
The temple gave me $30 when I lead cultivation per session in an angpow. There is no agreement between me and this temple or any other locally. On Sundays, when I attend fire homa sessions, the temple gave all fashis an angpow of $10 each.
The temple gave me an invitation letter to lead cultivation in English and no mention of remuneration. I did not give them any written acknowledgement.
Another temple gave me an invitation letter to lead cultivation and promised to "gongyang" $200 per month. I did not agree, and I told them I can help, only when I can find time. They said it is ok with whatever time I can spare.
Another temple, I lead cultivation on verbal understanding that I do so when ever I can find time. There is also no mention of remuneration.
So, the first temple seems to put words around that I stop going there to lead cultivation because they don't pay me? or pay me enough? Hahaha!
When I go along to white matter chanting with them, I will donate the angpow (red packet with money) contents in the name of the deceased to the temple as Temple Building Fund.
I remembered once when there were RM300 or 500 and I asked is it someone gave me the wrong angpow? They said no, it's mine. I also donated that one to the temple under the deceased name as Temple Building Fund.
Most angpows given to me, goes to Lotus Light Charity under supplies for needies. To me they are practices that Guru taught me, therefore, I divert them Charity.
As there are other fashi that need the funds more, my absence will help them hopefully to get more from the temple, as they have less fashi to offer to.
Pure karma also decided to put higher price tags on services so that other fashis or those from other sectors can earn a living charging lower than Pure Karma.
Pure Karma has established a well supported virtual temple in these 2 years and my target of 100 page views a day is currently at an average of 300 to 400. For this week, total from both blog/blogpsot about 500 - 600. I am glad that I met my initial preset figures.
Sharing Buddha Dharma online, we don't see anyone physically. It is also free for anyone with Internet access, regardless of whether they are True Buddha's disciples or not. I also answered pertinent questions on cultivation online, free of charge.
No consultation of personal matters allowed.
Also no voice calls, text messages except emails to asklotuschef@gmail.com.
We achieved reaching out to all sentient beings without differentiation!
Pure karma also discourages personal consultation, therefore a fee is levied.
Reason being we encourage all to cultivate and seek answers within and not without.
We started to charge for individual lotus offering to let all pay for their own offering to the Divinities and not take charity from us. Especially those with high karmic debts best don't take charity from a reverend, fashi, lama,....
This is for them to show sincerity and we can also have more funds for charity!
For those that traveled with me or with Pure Karma for some time, know that I donate to charity when in Hong Kong; Taiwan; Indonesia; Malaysia and when we come across worthwhile causes to help out. We are not confine to local charities only.
As I said, don't help me, don't go fabricate lies about me! You are the one that have to answer to your own karma of lying with intention of causing "harm" to others and in my case, a Sangha!
Look at YC for example, doing work towards Dharma propagation, he should be well looked after by all Universal beings. However, his inherent karmic influences negate these blessing. He is mostly short on funds.
In my case, I diverted as much as possible, offering from sentient beings to charity. Therefore, my karmic influences are pretty healthy.
I jokingly said to Guru when we were chatting, if you want to see me, please help me with cheap airfares and lodgings. :)
The past 2 years, my Seattle's trip were taken care of by relatives and friends and students and the others, from relatives. I would also give up traveling to channel the trip's estimated expenses to charity.
Therefore I am not really about whether a temple can pay me or not, but whether my time will be gainfully employed or not!
Instead of spending 4 hours in traveling to and from the temple, including the time needed for the sessions; I would prefer to read more and share more online. Those online sharing can be access at all times and is time well spent, do you agree? :)
Some people made use of YC's forum to slander me too!!! Hahaha!
See lies from ignorants have no basis at all? Why waste time go read their lies?
