CHAPTER 6 - Telepathic InstructionThere is a mantra used by the magician of black sect:
'Hai jepayan akashi, jepayan awa jepayan, sharuitershi shianpiyan, palo jepayan, kachi jepayan, er ku jepayan, peiku, jepayan peitong jepayan peichiter, jepayan kunong jepayan peitong, jepayan er ku,ankau antow shinpian, shapeiha kalau ankau taanter kusanpa ankau`.
Sitting in his sacred room, the magician repeatedly chants the mantra. In the room the magician makes offerings to the lion of snowy mountain. In front of the image of the lion, a big piece of bloody beef is offered. Amid the joss-sticks and incense, the atmosphere is frightening. The magician murmurs the mantra in a low voice.
Suddenly the window is blown ajar by the gust of strong wind. Jumping into the room is a mighty lion of snowy mountain, baring fangs and brandishing its claws. It takes a glance at the magician. With the clearly distinct black and white eyes, the magician emits two rays of light charged with electricity which invades the eyes of the lion; and penetrates into its heart. The lion instantly loses its prowess, as if electrocuted. Its body begins to tremble, looking dazed as if the soul has left its body. Only low and powerful mantra uttered by the magician can be heard.
The lion of snowy mountain will follow the order given by the magician. First it will eat a big piece of beef that is offered, then obediently listen to the order given by the magician. `Go, so and so is my enemy. He is sleeping now, use your endowed ability. Use your claws, your sharp fangs. Use your strength, bring his head to me. Go now, what I want is only his head, the rest you can have them for your satisfaction`.
The lion roars after hearing the order. A little while later the lion returns; its mouth bitting the head that the magician wanted.
This is not a legend. This is how the magician uses the black magic to kill, it is widely known throughout Tibet.
The magician is skilled at chanting mantra - the mantra to hypnotize animals, using a tiger, a lion and a leopard to harm others, using telepathic instruction so that the animal will feel dazed at certain times, losing its self-control and take orders from the magician. The art has been passed down and is quite widespread. The Tibetans respect the black sect. They are afraid of the magicians, while at the same time deeply hate them.
From this, we can understand how frightening the power of black magic can be.
The mantra given at the beginning of the chapter is considered a highly confidential one in the black sect. It was chanted to me by a Lama who has learned black magic previously, and I interpret them into Chinese. As it is highly confidential, even with the reward of ten thousand taels of gold, I will not divulge it. I have only written out the first part and omitted the rest.
The meaning of Mantra is roughly`Respectfully, I invite the all mighty lion of Snowy Mountain to kill the enemy`.
Using modern terminology, telepathic instruction is like hypnotism.
I come across people who are endowed with special skills. Without any teacher, they have mastered the art themselves. I have seen a person, all he needs is to take a casual look at the chicken reared by him, the chicken will slowly close their eyes and stand still. The chicken have been hypnotised. He has tried with other chicken and it never fails.
One of my acquaintances can use his hand to catch fish and prawns. He jumps into the water to catch them. The fish and prawns will remain motionless, waiting to be caught. He is really endowed with hypnotic skill.
Telepathic instruction is strong, it is a kind of anaesthetic. After being dosed, a person will take an illusion as real. A look, a touch, or a handshake can be effective hypnosis.
The magicians of black sect are hypnotists of evil intentions. They can use the hypnosis to instruct the victim to do certain things that are beyond their daily rational behaviour. They make telepathic instruction a tool of black magic. It is regretable.
To dispel the black magic of the lion of Snowy Mountain, the dharma is as follows:
Mudra : Great compassion
Visualization: Putting four brass bells in front of the altar table, visualize Avalokiteshvara Buddha's heart emitting blue light shining onto the brass bells. Do it four times.
Mantra: Chanting thousand hand thousand eye Avalokiteshvara Buddha's perfection and great passion mantra twenty one times or forty nine times, then hang the four brass bells at the four eaves.
It is said that when the lion of Snowy Mountain or other animals hear the ringing sound of the bells, they will be awakened. The animal will flee and cause no harm.
The great compassion mantra is the utmost profound mantra. It is well liked and protected by all the Varja, devas, dragons, demons and gods.
