禅宗公案 Zen Koan - 吃茶去 Go drink tea

当年，赵州和尚在河北赵县的观音院弘法传道，遐迩修行僧云集。

有一天，一位禅僧远道而来向赵州参学，赵州问他：
“你以前来过这里没有？”
“没有来过。”
“是吗，那麽吃茶去！”

转而又来一位禅僧。
“你以前来过这里没有？”
“啊，来过。”
“是吗，那麽吃茶去！”

于是，不解的院主终于启口问道：
“和尚，方才你让初来咋到吃茶去，理所当然，但对常来常住的，也让他吃茶去，这是为甚麽呢？”

赵州闻言立即叫“院主”，院主应声，赵州又说：
“吃茶去！”


赵州未明答院主之问，似以身说法，此法又为何呢？
