Performing Bardo Delivery.
Readers, do you all remember that I shared how to deliver a dead animal you chance upon?
You first invoke Guru’s presence and then you chant his mantra at least 7 times. You can opt to chant the 4 refuge vows visualizing that the animal receives light empowerment from Root Guru, lineage gurus, Buddhas, Dharma and Sanghas.
Then you proceed with the delivery to Pureland by forming Guru’s hand mudra and chanting Guru’s mantra.
The Left Hand Mudra - Lotus
The Left hand mudra is a Lotus and you visualize the dead animal sitting upon the lotus and then you visualize the Lotus moving upwards.
You can also visualize you hand over the Lotus to Guru.
I always see Guru or Amitabha Buddha picking up the Lotus with the deceased using their Left hand.
Hahaha!
Please remember these are my personal experiences and what you experience when performing the same might vary or differ.
The main point is you employ what Guru teaches and with a compassionate heart, you help others get purified and go to Pureland.
This is possible because of Root Guru’s power and your Boddhicitta.
As long as you want to help others without any thought of getting rewards and you have sincere intent to make others happy, then Guru will back you all the way.
