Meditation – Think Too Much???

On Saturday, I counseled M. She is not a TBS' student.
She told me that she couldn't concentrate even when she chanted Heart Sutra.

Well? Hahaha!
I taught her to look at the words of the sutra, Word for Word, in concentrating, she can then exclude any thoughts, whether wholesome or unwholesome.

What a Great Coincidence that on the same day, Guru spoke about concentration too!

He said: When you concentrate on Visualization of Amitabha Buddha & chant his Title of "Namo Amituofo"; you can also exclude any thoughts from drawing your attention away.

This method should be practised by starting with seconds and progressing to minutes and you will gradually be able to prolong the time between the Interference of Thoughts! :)

For many TBS' students, I taught them to stare at Guru's photo, and maintain the visualization of Guru smiling compassionately and caringly at you, then you chant mantra.

Once your mind starts to wander, you start from beginning again of staring at the smiling Guru!

Actually this method is good too as you have a very deeply inscribed image of Guru as time passes.
This helps you in Guru Yoga too! :)

I have also taught students to follow the words of High King Avalokitesvara Sutra too!

Just do it with anything that you like and feel comfortable with.

Do Not Force Yourself!!!

You must be relax and at ease, remember these!
