亡神又名七煞、官符。

古代汉族星命家以五行临官之处为亡神，即申、子、辰以亥为亡神，寅、午、戌以巳为亡神，巳、酉、丑以申为亡神，亥、卯、未以寅为亡神。

人命局中有亡神，可吉可凶，视其与其他神煞配合而定。

八字神煞解析——亡神

亡神為四柱八字中的一個神煞，

Loss Deity is a 凶(culprit, sinister · murder · fierce, violent · bad)  神 in the Four Pillars Ba-zi, 

為兇時主人奸詐，多詭計，巧言令色，有牢獄之災；

As Bad - the Individual is treacherous, crafty, fraudulent; smooth talker; have calamity of imprisonment; 

為吉時則主人頭腦精明，反應敏捷，有智謀奇計，善于隨機應變。
As Fortunate - the Individual has great intellectual discernment, react swiftly, wise decisions and unique calculations, excel at situational responses.

一、何為亡神

亡者，失也，自內失之謂之亡。

[亡 wáng~ deceased die flee lose or loss from within]

也就是說，從里面失去就是亡，

因為亡在五行 (Because Loss in 5 elements of Water, Fire, metal-gold, wood, earth)

三合局( 3 combination scenario or phenomenon) 中臨官的位置。

例如，(for example)

申子辰合化水局，水在亥位臨官，亥中的甲木盜泄水氣，所以亥為亡神。

The time periods of 申子辰  combined as a transform water phenomenon, when water is in  亥  time period, the 甲木- jia-wood robs water's qi-energy, thus 亥 

time period became the Loss Deity.

寅午戌合化火局，火在已位臨官，巳中的戊土盜泄火氣，所以已為亡神。

已酉丑合化金局，金在申位為臨官，申中之壬水盜泄金氣，所以申為亡神。

亥卯未合化木局，木于寅位為臨官，寅中之丙火盜泄木氣，所以寅為亡神。
