Maybe at an essential stage, one must acknowledge and accept that thoughts are not real, just like video casted in cinemas, what we see are not real with no life, no sense. To attach emotions to these unreal images in our mind, we suffer.
Maybe the essence of cultivation is when the mind is disciplined and able to detach emotions, all senses to unreal images that may surface in the mind. When thoughts can be controlled not be formed.
I am not a Guru in the eyes of the world yet. :)
The topic is the Factor of Time and its perception at different stages of Cultivation.
What you have shared is True, as thats the Basic concepts of perception of One's Life and one's path in this realm or during this visit to this realm. :)
Disciplined Mind is achieved through Mind Training or Lojong.
Therefore, giving your views or comments for Assignments and also on concepts shared by GM Lu or any other Gurus, will help your Minds develop gradually or grow towards Wisdom.

The recent sharing of Zen Patriarch Bodhidharma's sermons like the Break Through & Bloodstream, contains all basics that each one of us should know and bear in mind and not be stuck with "Words of mouth" circulating for decades with Not an iota of Truth in them.
I have shared the "answer" to Assignment [3] in
Dharma doors or ways are immeasurable & infinitely varied.
Thus, if one can convincingly explain or comment on a topic, that Answer or comment is also Right! :)

That's the beauty of Buddha Dharma!
There is no absolute right or wrong in the Middle Path Theory.
However, our Buddha nature is Absolute like the Dharmadhatu!
