Once upon a time, there was this temple whose Master said to his administrative committee:
The current attendees of this temple is not ideal.
We are too "family" orientated.
The rich & famous & powerful, won't come and attend our functions or even walk in to pay respects to the Deities here.
That is why our income is a pittance. {He feels his shares of takings too little for one of his standing!}
We must attract the rich & famous & powerful, like the Ministers, Mayors, bankers & etc.
Therefore we must build a posh temple like the ones that attract tourist too. Lets put ourselves on the Map!
Will this Temple gets build?
Is this what Buddha teaches?
Target to caters to the Rich & famous & powerful only?
What happen to All Sentient Beings are equal?
Well, as GM said: be discerning. Don't get bluff by those that claim they are powerful!
This temple is in financial doldrums & yet the Master still try & raise prices of his services & goods.
The staff there mostly have "lousy" auras.
Regular attendees also have "lousy" auras.
Still the same advice, LISTEN TO GM ONLY!
Anyone that veers off the Buddhist Path, we best steer clear of them! Agree???
O! As Gm said: If still stuck or attached to Worldly forms of fame, wealth, pride, status, greed.....
THIS PERSON IS NOT ENLIGHTENED & HIS POWERS??? Doubt he has any!
This is a true story & I sincerely hope those involved will 'wake up' fast.
