These were taken at Chung Tai Chan Monastery on 21 February 2013, on our second visit.
Sakyamuni Buhhda's statue seem to have disappeared or Transformed into Light and then Appeared again and then Disappeared even more!
If you look carefully, the top part of my head also seemed to have disappeared!
Hahaha!
Pretty interesting!
Don't you think that this is Enlightening?
Teaching and showing us [Don't Have]; [Have]; [Don't Have = Can't See] but the Statue in all its full glory is {still there}!!! :)
Well!
Recent discussion with fellow students brought to memory the following:-
1. A reverend that fought over a wooden bunk bed with a fellow student at Taiwan Temple at about 11:45pm. She insisted that the student vacate "her bed" immediately. That bed has been occupied by this visiting student for the past 2 weeks!!!
My telling her to not cause such a furrow, was yelled down!
Reverend then went around lying that I sided with the said student and bullied her!
She also made false accusation about me and other reverends staying in that dormitory, belonging to the temple!
The abbot listened and believed her tale and called us, the other reverends residing in that dormitory, and gave us some instructions to observe while staying in that dormitory! :)
Question: Does the bunk bed in the Temple's dormitory belongs to the Reverend in question?
Think: Shouldn't Abbot have first ask for or discerned the Truth before wrongly accusing anyone?
The Reverend in question was sort of expelled from the temple after being found guilty of "blocking" or reserving rows of seats in the main event hall and selling them to students for a certain sum during events!
Seems she complained that she has to wake up at 4am to tie up the rows of seats which she intend to sell!
Wow! Her products seem to be cost-free and she does make a huge profit, agree?
Hahaha!
After visiting the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, a serene and joyful aura seem to have settled on me.
In that monastery, all Ordained personnel are Reverends and the division of labour for the good of the monastery, resulted in the efficient function of the monastery.
To these reverends, this is Home!
The Harmonious cohesiveness can be felt by me and those with me.
There is a 'Homing' feeling too!
I had great affinity with this wondrous place too!
Sakyamuni Buddha; Ananda; Boddhidharma; Bhaisajyaguru; Diamond Sutra; Avatamsaka Sutra; Avalokitesvara; Sariputra; ..... These are all depicted or displayed within.
2. Days ago, another reverend shocking went way out to stick "netting curtains" to windows and door of her rented flat! Also spraying large amount of perfume that is truly choking when one enters that unit!
There are already very nice looking and sturdy curtains installed for the windows!
The one for the door trails down to the floor and one has to avoid stepping on them when passing too!
Question: Does this one knows what is Renunciation all about?
Well, one of my assignment this trip is to help this one "reattach" her link to True Buddha Lineage; and also share with her cultivation techniques of 4 Preliminaries. She can't even sit still to chant 21 times of Guru mantra! This problem has been present since early last year and seems to have worsen!
Anyway, I have completed my assignment and the rest is up to herself to save herself.
Hahaha! That's why I am able to go visiting these past week as my job is done!
She talks in her sleep and even scold loudly in her sleep. A spirit seems to disturb her frequently during her sleep as well, and she is the one that made me dig out the stories about Ananda and his being pursued by many women.
Many that have shared same dormitory with her, were forced to sit up through the nights she is extra noisy as well!
No wonder she has to rent a flat to live by herself.
Both of the above subjects have common factors, such as Attachment or Fixation to Sentient Materials even after taking Renunciation Vows at Ordination!
When would they understand 6th Zen Patriarchs' "Originally without Any Single Material"?
Cheers all
