我們每一個人大部分開始學佛的時候，就已經醒過來，從迷中變成醒，不會再沉迷在這個世俗的世界裡面。
Most of us awaken when we start to learn Dharma, awaken from [Lost], won't ever get Lost in this materialistic sentient world.
很多人還是迷於世俗的一切，還是在迷中，但是在迷中的人是不知道迷的。
Many still Lost and they are unaware that they are Lost.
我們現在不是醉，我們現在是清醒過來。我們知道人生很短，最起碼你將來要到更好的境界去。懂得修行的人說：「我這一生很苦，時間也不多，我們將來到更好的境界去。」這是第一個醒來的。
Presently we are not Drunk(lost), we have awaken. We know that life is short and at least we want to go to a better place in the future. Knowing how to cultivate said: My whole life is suffering, time is running out, I want to go to a better plane.
This is the First Step in Awakening.
第二個醒來的是認為：「以後這個人間不要再來了，因為人間太苦了，我們到淨土去，到淨土去了不退轉，這個是最好的。」
The second awakening believe that: [In future do not want to come to this sentient world, because too much sufferings, we want to go to Pureland and won't change or turn around, this way is best.]
◎第三個醒得更好：「我要跟我的佛性合一，我自己要轉變成為佛，成為菩薩，我要利益眾生。我成佛以後要去度化眾生。」這是最高的醒悟。
◎The Third is even better: [I want to merge with my Buddha Nature, I want to transform into Buddha, Boddhisattva, I want to benefit sentient beings. When I attain Buddhahood, I want to go save all sentient beings.] This is the highest Awakening.
所以我們現在都是醒著的，不是在酒醉之中。事實上在這世間的人都是在酒醉之中，迷於「績優股」，分別這個是績優股，那個是不好的股；還是在沉醉之中。
Therefore, presently we are awake and don't get lost in premium shares or otherewise.
迷於酒啊！色啊！財啊！氣啊！其實都是在酒醉之中。有些人迷於名：「我想要拿到諾貝爾獎，不擇手段，我都要拿到諾貝爾獎」。這個也是醉。
Lost in Liquor! Sex! Wealth! Ego! Actually still Drunk. Some crave : [I want to get the Nobel prize at all cost irregardless of method employed.] This is Lost (Drunk).
因為那個獎本身來講都是假的東西，虛名而已。
Because that prize is actually False, just a Fictitious Name only.
我在年輕的時候我就「醒過來」，我在小學的時候，當勞動服務，拿服務認真獎！從來沒有缺課的全勤獎啦！初中留級，高中我有第一名的獎，在高中讀書都是拿第一名；還有寫文章的金駝獎、銀駝獎、國軍文藝金像獎。我都拿過的，有一天我把這些獎狀統統都收集起來，跟這些獎牌都收集起來，然後點一把火全部燒掉，我不要什麼獎，什麼獎我都不要。
In my youth, when I awaken, I gather all the trophies that I was awarded and burn all of them. I don't want any prize, whatever prize also don't want.
德輝上師說：「師尊還沒有拿諾貝爾獎。」我從來沒有想過，也沒有做過。我從來不為什麼而做，這個叫做不造作。
Vajra Master DeHui said: [GM still have not got the Nobel Prize before.] I have never thought about it and never did. I have never done something with an ulterior motive. That is no Faking.
這個時候我也是一樣，從來不為什麼，我只要所有的人非常幸福美滿地過日子；所有的眾生都感覺到很快樂；所有的眾生都是醒著的；每一個人都是真正清醒著；所有的眾生都懂得修行。
At this moment, I am the same, no ulterior motive. I want everyone to live a happy, auspicious, fulfilling life, all sentient beings feel happy; all awakened; all truly awakened; all know how to cultivate.
我只要求眾生這樣子，不為自己，不要為自己，為自己是小乘，要為所有的眾生，為所有的弟子，就是大乘。
I only ask that sentient beings be like this, don't be for Self. For Self is Hinayana. For all sentient beings, all disciples is Mahayana.
大乘佛法就是說視眾生重於自己的，叫做「大乘佛法」。
Mahayana is prioritized others before self.
小乘就是視自己重於眾生的，就是「小乘佛法」。
Hinayana is Self before others.
所以，剛才蓮廚法師講的，「四無量心」、「菩提心」、「利他的心」最重，就是大乘佛法，可以成就佛。
Therefore, just now Reverend Lianchu (lotuschef) said, [Four Immeasurable Heart (Vows); [Boddhicitta]; [Benefit others Heart(mentality)] most important.
This is Mahayana, can attain Buddhahood.
小乘佛法不能成佛，為什麼不能，因為他利己，沒有利他，沒有菩提心。佛菩薩是有菩提心的，沒有菩提心只能夠證到阿羅漢，只能夠證到緣覺。嗡嘛呢唄咪吽。
Hinayana can't attain Buddhahood, Why? Because they only benefit self and not others, do not have Boddhicitta. Buddha and Boddhisattva have Boddhicitta, without Boddhicitta only can affirm Arahat and Saint. Om Mani Pad Me Hum.
