4-9-2011 Don't need Charity!

  • F offered to get VIP seats for some fellow students in Caotun temple on Saturday afternoon after finding out that they are seated outside the temple. She feels that as they come from very far away and also rarely has the chance to visit, she would like to help them sit inside the temple nearer to GM.
    -----------------------------------------------

    F: after reading your article about VVIP, but i did not want to gain something but just for happiness...

所以我很罪惡感...so sorry for it....

[If cannot share something good with others, its like torture, all in feel very deflated...

but you said give rise to others having jealous, hatred...feeling.I feel guilty of having sin....

L:  Everything we do, we must first think of HOW it will affect others.

That is the IMPACT it will cause.

...
[That's why I feel very guilty and confused, still have not learn properly yet, need to learn for a longer period yet.....]

Knowing to reflect, is Awakened! Can cheer and congratulate on this! Amituofo!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its the temple's monthly fair day.
是日是佛堂开放给贩卖商到来贩卖物品的日子。
There were lots of vendors selling all kinds of goods lined on both sides of the long corridors linking various halls of the temple.
贩卖商摆摊位在连接各殿走廊的两旁。
C and I went browsing after we finish our work in the kitchen.
We both volunteer at the temple's kitchen daily from about 6.30am preparing vegetables and etc to be cooked.
C与我做完厨房地工作便一起去逛逛。我们是厨房的义工,每天早上6.30开始在厨房帮忙预备要烹调的各种蔬菜等。
A person standing by the side of one booth was without a leg and he is selling ball-point pens and packet tissue paper.
有个独脚贩卖者在卖铅子笔和纸巾。
C gave him $2 and walked away. He kept asking her to take a pick of his fares.
C给了他两元便走开。他一直请C挑选物品。
But C said: Don't need.
C说:不必。
I took 2 ballpoints from him and paid him accordingly.
Also took 2 ballpoints for C.
我付了两枝铅子笔的钱,也顺道拿了两枝铅子笔给C。
I walked C to a quite corner and gave her a "sermon".
我把C拉到一个安静的角落,开始给她“说教”。
Although Handicapped, they are earning an honest living selling something. They also need to be respected and they need their dignity too.
需然残障,他们也可以老老实实的赚钱过活。他们也需要尊严和尊敬。
Unlike beggars who just stretch out their hands to beg, these people are selling something for a livelihood so we must respect them and up to us whether to buy or not.
不像乞丐申手讨钱,这些人在贩卖物品为生。因此我们要尊重他们。我们也可以选侧买不买。
We must be clear that they are not begging but earning an honest
living.
我们要清楚他们不是在行乞,而是老实的干活生存。
We really must be observant of others feelings at all times and act accordingly.
我们必须时时刻刻观注别人的感受而配合相关的行动。
Sometimes it is better to not offer help/charity when the person
concern does not express any wish to accept them.
有时候不适宜给予援助因为对方无意接受。
Have a care of others' feeling.
要关注别人的感受。
Being handicap does not automatically equates to their being in need of charity from us.
残障不代表自动需要我们的布施。
Boddhicitta encompasses not only physical but emotional giving.
菩提心包笼实际和精神上的布施。
Have a care who you offer help/charity to from now.
从此,请关注一下你布施的对象
Cultivating yogi balances Compassion and Wisdom to share happiness all around.
行者该把慈悲与智慧平衡化,以便为所有众生分享喜悦。
Don't get fixated on forms and attach preconceived properties to anything.
不要执着于任何‘相’或固定化任何事故。
