In the Chinese drama - Shaolin Seek Path, there are lots of interesting Zen titbits!
The lineage robe and bowl passed onto a monk, Bai-huo who is not a long-stay at Shaolin temple, but he was bestowed the Lineage items. The monk that took over the abbot's position from the Patriarch Shen-hai, who went into Bodhidharma Cave to Meditate and his student, both didn't received the Lineage robe and bowl!
Both were unhappy because of Fixation on the Lineage items, which they perceived as a MUST for their Abbot status!
See any similarities to the affairs of TBS?
Yes! Dragon Robes from GM Lu and the Lineage Gurus' robes that had many very stuck on them!
Announcement of Enlightenment is yet another much sought after "Title" that many also crave and want to grab irregardless of the "COST" !

In the drama - Shaolin seek path, Reverend Wen-dao asked: the beings in the temple are beings and those outside are not?
He mean ~ So we save those in the temple and not those outside!
First ask yourself these: Does TBS truly exist?
Why so many ganged up and fight for a certain version of TBS, created by ignorant sentient beings?
When we talk about "Leave TBS", the truly enlightened will ask: Which TBS? Is there TBS?
Think: Middle Path!
