Morning of the 6th, I received a call from a fellow Dharma sister asking for help. She needs me to help with White matter chanting 白事诵经. Seems temples stop all functions till after 15th day of Chinese New Year was one of the reason given.
I encountered the other MAJOR ONE - FEAR of Bearing Negative Karma from the deceased & her family.
Anyway, I am glad that there are at least some kind-hearted and enlightened individuals that came and help the chanting dedication and bardo deliverance.
Ignorance. GM said many times that chanting and dedicating merits at wakes is a form of Boddhicitta. One is charitably sharing all the amazing qualities of Dharma with the deceased, her ancestors, family and all present. Also all merits of that session is dedicated to the deceased 'to use' in Pureland.
The bardo deliverance part is also Dharma charity.
A charitable person, forever giving outwards irregardless of self and rewards, is not greedy, in heart sutra: Because nothing is attained, the Boddhisattva, through reliance on Prajna Paramita, is unimpeded in his mind. As there is no impediment, he is NOT AFRAID, & he leaves DISTORTED DREAM - THINKING FAR BEHIND. Ultimately Nirvana!

I sincerely hope that fellow Dharma students and all sentient beings understand and learn not to be afraid.
Do not create FORMS that you give them POWER to be able to Harm you!

Fashi-2B, it's not u. But a whole big grp of regulars that shocked me. Seems not only GM teachings didnot sink in but Dharma sharings by me & many leading cultivation also lost. Sad but true. Ignorance brought about fear, then maintaining Pride with Anger & Hatred. Don't accept being Ignorant. Haha. Like Dharma wheel, all negatives are interlocked together. Hv a nice trip. See u.
