Kehilangan Transmisi Silsilah atau Tidak?

“Apakah kami kehilangan [Silsilah]?”
Alasannya:
Bertanya: “Kami butuh silsilah Mahaguru Lu!”
Awalnya, aku hendak menuliskan untuk mereka, NAMUN, setelah dipikir-pikir lagi, kurasa hal tersebut kurang pantas.
Mengapa kurang pantas?
Pada dasarnya, [Memiliki Silsilah] atau [Tidak], si praktisi seharusnya tahu sendiri, tak perlu bertanya kepadaku.
我說:Kukatakan:
Menghormati dan memuliakan guru sarana sendiri, berarti memiliki silsilah.
Tidak menghormati dan memuliakan maka tak memiliki.

Meninggalkanku, berarti tak memiliki silsilah.

又:Dan:
又:Dan:
Bila kamu selalu ingat dan mengenang Guru Akarmu, 3 kali sehari – pagi, siang, malam, maka tak akan kehilangan silsilah.
Bila tak pernah melakukannya, tentu saja tak memiliki silsilah.

Kamu melatih Buddha Dharma yang ditransmisikan oleh Guru Akar, hanya perlu melatih sehari sekali, maka kamu memiliki silsilah.
Bila tak melatihnya sama sekali, secara alami kehilangan silsilah.
又:Dan:

Jangan tersesat!

I was sitting where I have been during the homa and also didn't stand in line for blessing from him for past events.
Yes! I do not line up or walk pass like fellow attendees for blessing or abhiseka from other masters, be they from TBS or other schools.

Notification on Facebook Group Invitations // Pemberitahuan mengenai undangan dari grup-grup di Facebook
Dear friends who are joining facebook groups under Religions – Cultures – Philosophies – Opinions categories, please don't invite Pure Karma to join in again in the future.
Many members of the aforesaid groups have staunch beliefs in the truth according to their own perceptions, and therefore fond of attacking and bullying one another. You all can anyway have your own battles and leave Pure Karma alone in this respect. :)
Rather than spending your time to share opinions, you should use it for more learning and thinking. Dharma is something that we either understand or don't understand, so ultimately there is no need to try to show yourselves off!
Thank you and cheers all.

Bodhicitta punya 3 faktor utama:
- Sumber Daya 财施
- Dharma 法施
Salam semuanya.

Lotuschef in Bodhicitta
Terjemahan Indonesia: Lotuschef Membahas Bodhicitta
From email archive:
[--- fashi dear,
AA's dad got a hernia protrusion and needs operation. while the cost of surgery is quite expensive, is there any way that it can be helped with talisman or something?
they are catholic family and don't believe in mantra, fengshui and such.
the mom last time got a severe osteoporosis and i remember that GM has the talisman to cure it, unfortunately he doesn't believe in talisman, so i couldn't help with requesting to GM hahaha.
any way we can help him perhaps?
cheers. ---]
---
Dear all, let us ponder on what to do for this request, shall we?
- Family is Catholic & don't believe in mantra; fengshui; talisman; .......
- Osteoporosis? Last time? - so question is, is the problem is ongoing without much relieve or problem is arrested already?
- Operation is expensive; are there alternatives like talisman or something?
- Now, knowing the above, let us just help him anyway!
This email is pretty illuminating of most of us when WE GET EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED!
Hahaha!
The statements are pretty contradictory and the conclusion is "Never mind the above, let us just help!"
Yes! SZ has a talisman call "铜身铁骨" - means bronze body iron bone; which he got from referring to the "通天之书" - means Book able to communicate or link with Heaven. A book given by Maitreya, if I remember correctly.
This is to treat Shi-mu's osteoporosis, which is extremely sever or the bone marrow has hollowed out, and couldn't give support or in worse scenario, the bone will just crack & break.
Most students that requested for this talisman seen Miracles with their own problems or that of their aged relatives or love ones.
However, a request can be made only at Taiwan or Seattle Temple by asking Golden Mother at the main hall's altar, by throwing the wooden crescents.
Then the person using the talisman has to chant Guru's mantra 1080 times before partaking the talisman or using it for treatment.
Of course, your sincerity is the KEY to its effectiveness.
Quoting Wikipedia – Hernia:
Hernia can be contained by corset or other devices and maybe be a better alternative to surgery, if the patient is of poor health or affordability is a bigger issue than the discomfort of the hernia.
My suggestion?
Bodhicitta – SZ just explained the Key that Atisha learnt from his Guru, Serlingpa, in Jambi, Indonesia.
"Mutual exchange of status or position."
Think! You are suffering from hernia that the doctors said require surgery that you can't afford.
You "melted" or "merged" into this person & then you cultivate to seek blessing from your root guru and divinities.
The person gets the blessing every time you cultivate this way! :)
Or you cultivate Guru yoga & as Guru, blesses this person with light to cleanse and pure and then to fill and radiate to share with all beings. :)
**However, do remember the person's karmic foes, bless them with immense light too!
This is Bodhicitta and main factor is Buddha Dharma, with a little time & effort = Resources; and Indifferent to rewards or returns – just do & forget, no fixation nor attachment.
Boddhicitta has 3 main factors:
- Resource 财施
- Dharma 法施
- Indiferent to rewards & no attachment to the deeds performed
Cheers all.

Jambhala Kuning – Apakah Satu Tak Cukup?
![]() |
| Jambhala Kuning (黄财神 / Huáng Cái Shén) |
Ditulis oleh Lotuschef – 7 Januari 2013
Diterjemahkan oleh Lotus Nino
Sumber: Yellow Jambala 黄财神 – One is Not Enough?

{Ia juga dikenal sebagai Vaiśravaṇa (Bhs. Sansekerta: वैश्रवण) atau Vessavaṇa (Bhs. Pāli: वेस्सवण) atau juga Namtösé di Tibet dan Bishamonten di Jepang. Vaisravana merupakan pemimpin dari Empat Maharaja Langit dan merupakan tokoh yang penting di dalam mitologi agama Buddha.}

Juga dikenal sebagai多闻天王 [Ia yang mendengar segalanya], Sang Maharaja Langit Sebelah Utara!}
Hahaha! Kamu butuh Bodhicitta!!!

Dharma [2]
Feedback/Opinion on Dharma:-
Xiaotian Zhu maybe there are different meaning between Dharma (佛理) and Dharma (佛法) and dharma (phenomenon)???
In case of Dharma (佛理), i will go old and die too whether in earth or in other planet
Francesca Poon Hahaha! Your shell will aged n die but not your Buddha nature
Guru said : Dharma is in all we do!
Don't create too many category to break down Dharma or for that matter anything. In the end you confuse yourself too and attaches property or reality to something that is intangible or even don't exist. Cheers, lotuschef
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharma_(Buddhism)
Dhamma (Pali) or Dharma (Sanskrit: धर्म) in Buddhism can have the following meanings:
The state of Nature as it is (yathā bhūta)
The Laws of Nature considered collectively.
The teaching of the Buddha as an exposition of the Natural Law applied to the problem of human suffering.
A phenomenon and/or its properties.
Etymologically, the word Dhamma (Sanskrit: Dharma) is derived from the root "dham," meaning "to uphold" or "to support," and the commentary further explains that it is that which upholds or supports the practitioner (of Dhamma) and prevents him or her from falling into states of misery or birth in a woeful existence.
Of all Buddhist terminology, the word Dhamma commands the widest, most comprehensive meaning.
Dharma is to cultivate the knowledge and practice of laws and principles that hold together the fabric of reality, natural phenomena and personality of human beings in dynamic interdependence and harmony.
Gautama Buddha referred to the path that he prescribed his students as dhamma-vinaya (dhamma is the conventional rendering of the Paliword into Roman script compared to Sanskrit which is rendered as dharma) which means this path of discipline (vinaya means discipline).
The path of the Buddhas (Gautama Buddha saw himself as one in a long line of Buddhas stretching back into remote antiquity) is a path of self-imposed discipline.
This discipline involves refraining as much as possible from sexual activity (this is called Brahmacarya), a code of ethical behaviour (Śīla) and effort in the cultivation of mindfulness and wisdom. (See also Threefold Training)
In the Buddhist Scriptures, the expression "The Dharma" often refers to the Buddha's teachings and their scriptural recension (e.g. theVinaya and Sutta Pitaka of the Pali Canon), and can more broadly include the later traditions of interpretation and exegesis that the various schools of Buddhism have developed to help explain and expand upon the Buddha's teachings.
In later Mahayana tradition, this was seen as the 84,000 different teachings (the Kangyur/bka.'gyur) that the Buddha gave to various types of people based on their needs.
In this sense of being synonymous with the Buddha's teachings the Dharma constitutes one of the Three Jewels of Buddhism in which practitioners of Buddhism take refuge (what one relies on for his/her lasting happiness). The three jewels of Buddhism are the Buddha (mind's perfection of enlightenment), the Dharma (teachings and methods), and the Sangha (the community of committed practitioners of the buddha dharma who provide mutual support, encouragement and spiritual friendship).
The cultivation and attainment of wisdom is part of the goal and practice of Buddhism.
In order to attain wisdom one must understand the nature of things (the dharma) and part of the practice of Buddhism is the investigation of Nature - dhamma-vicaya.
This means to adopt an objective, scientific approach to understanding the causal relationships between various phenomena.
In particular it refers to the dispassionate self-observation discussed in teachings such as the Satipatthana Sutta. The Buddha himself has been called a great or even a super-scientist because his teachings on the way out of suffering use analyses of the causal relationships between the different factors which constitute mind and body. The crowning achievement of this analysis is the doctrine of dependent origination.
Don't create too many category to break down Dharma or for that matter anything. In the end you confuse yourself too and attaches property or reality to something that is intangible or even don't exist. Cheers, lotuschef
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharma_(Buddhism)
Dhamma (Pali) or Dharma (Sanskrit: धर्म) in Buddhism can have the following meanings:
The state of Nature as it is (yathā bhūta)
The Laws of Nature considered collectively.
The teaching of the Buddha as an exposition of the Natural Law applied to the problem of human suffering.
A phenomenon and/or its properties.
Etymologically, the word Dhamma (Sanskrit: Dharma) is derived from the root "dham," meaning "to uphold" or "to support," and the commentary further explains that it is that which upholds or supports the practitioner (of Dhamma) and prevents him or her from falling into states of misery or birth in a woeful existence.
Of all Buddhist terminology, the word Dhamma commands the widest, most comprehensive meaning.
Dharma is to cultivate the knowledge and practice of laws and principles that hold together the fabric of reality, natural phenomena and personality of human beings in dynamic interdependence and harmony.
Gautama Buddha referred to the path that he prescribed his students as dhamma-vinaya (dhamma is the conventional rendering of the Paliword into Roman script compared to Sanskrit which is rendered as dharma) which means this path of discipline (vinaya means discipline).
The path of the Buddhas (Gautama Buddha saw himself as one in a long line of Buddhas stretching back into remote antiquity) is a path of self-imposed discipline.
This discipline involves refraining as much as possible from sexual activity (this is called Brahmacarya), a code of ethical behaviour (Śīla) and effort in the cultivation of mindfulness and wisdom. (See also Threefold Training)
In the Buddhist Scriptures, the expression "The Dharma" often refers to the Buddha's teachings and their scriptural recension (e.g. theVinaya and Sutta Pitaka of the Pali Canon), and can more broadly include the later traditions of interpretation and exegesis that the various schools of Buddhism have developed to help explain and expand upon the Buddha's teachings.
In later Mahayana tradition, this was seen as the 84,000 different teachings (the Kangyur/bka.'gyur) that the Buddha gave to various types of people based on their needs.
In this sense of being synonymous with the Buddha's teachings the Dharma constitutes one of the Three Jewels of Buddhism in which practitioners of Buddhism take refuge (what one relies on for his/her lasting happiness). The three jewels of Buddhism are the Buddha (mind's perfection of enlightenment), the Dharma (teachings and methods), and the Sangha (the community of committed practitioners of the buddha dharma who provide mutual support, encouragement and spiritual friendship).
The cultivation and attainment of wisdom is part of the goal and practice of Buddhism.
In order to attain wisdom one must understand the nature of things (the dharma) and part of the practice of Buddhism is the investigation of Nature - dhamma-vicaya.
This means to adopt an objective, scientific approach to understanding the causal relationships between various phenomena.
In particular it refers to the dispassionate self-observation discussed in teachings such as the Satipatthana Sutta. The Buddha himself has been called a great or even a super-scientist because his teachings on the way out of suffering use analyses of the causal relationships between the different factors which constitute mind and body. The crowning achievement of this analysis is the doctrine of dependent origination.
"When you are on the Moon & the only one there, there’s no Dharma, therefore there is no doctrine."
============================
Dharma always exist whether Buddha is present or not present.
so, Dharma is exist on the moon too right? Dharma is a universal truth that Buddha found on His meditation. A path to find our Buddha nature.
I don't really understand what GM is saying. Maybe it's about don't be too strict to doctrine and forgot the essential?
When speaking about this.. I remember about the Heart Sutra. It contains a deep line, "Na Dukha Samudaya Nirodha Magga". Speaking of no Dharma too
When you are the ONLY ONE, there is no rule to abide and no means of comparison. Therefore, like Buddha, one represents all and all is one.
There is no need for rules or doctrine as what ever you choose to do is Right and there is no wrong.
Seeing sentient beings as One is also what Buddha teaches.
That is the only way you are the universe n the universe is you.
No Self, No Constant, No Gain, No Expectation....
Why did I tell the fashi that insisted I need to abide by doctrine that I choose to be on the moon n not this sentient realm?
I am actually telling him that I am at one with all and No Differentiation...another of Buddha's teachings.
Sadly he keeps on talking loudly like lecturing me, this is his EGO, showing off in front of hundreds of fashi and fellow students.
I am glad that they see me as an idiot and talk down to me!
This fashi is a refugee that escape to HK and later ........
Also only know cantonese n not good in mandarin n hardly any english.
Hehe! If I start to talk to them in fluent english, will scare them, right? I am glad I can camouflage my knowledge and act stupid!!! Best not to hurt anyone.
Dharma is actually a philosophy of living happily and sharing that with all. When there is only One, Dharma is not necessary any more. This is what Guru means.
Actually, I am effectively bi-lingual in English & Chinese. I love languages and like to study them whenever opportunity presents itself.
As to Buddha nature, it can not be seen or felt, therefore it can be said that it doesn't exist.
Likewise Dharma, can also be said to be non-existent!
Dharma also has no constant and changes with situation.
6th Zen Patriarch said the 18 pairs of opposites is not True Dharma. Like good and bad... right and wrong....
I forgot to let on that I have a pretty good memory and can remember parts of Guru's speech to quote when needed.
:) Hahaha!
Bad?/Good?
Terjemahan Indonesia :
From emails conversation:-
Fashi,
Why is it that the more a person is onto him/herself,
the more his/her energy projection is swirling around uncomfortably.
I don't know how to explain, and perhaps others won't feel it as well,
but this is still strange.
Sometimes we don't need to use the third eye to examine certain persons,
by just observing at their physical behaviour is enough to conclude whether something is going wrong or not.
Even those who have taken the Bodhisattva vow but fail to observe their behaviours can't escape the bad projection either.
Now I'm asking, what are they taking the vows for?!
Am I crazy or what?
Now I understand what you wrote on your email yesterday.
Sharing the dharma is still okay, but to guide them in the path is way another problem.
Being mindful for ourselves is sometimes not easy either haha.
Cheers.
Hahaha!
First of all, do not attempt to second guess why others do these n that
You create sufferings for yourself
Lots of people go blindly into things without true understanding
Taking vows without Sincere intent is for show as some of them are "Somebody" in certain temples n they want to be standing in front of others
Power chase!
They also want to be leaders of ceremonies!
How many genuinely wanted to share Dharma and happiness with all?
Pure Karma's regulars know what is the vows all about and willing to make a wish to better the lot of all sentient beings, you see at certain sessions when they all put on the full gears
We have more than 10 of them that had taken the vows upon my advice
Yes! one don’t need a 3rd eye to observe others, as Guru said: all we do are cultivation!
Hahaha!
What do you consider Bad Behaviour? Hahaha!
Actually we have to be Mindful of our observations.
Like the view I had of VL, I have to make sure I am objective and also must not be too obvious as to cause harm
But lotus B went and put him into the limelight
I make things pretty close to obvious last year about the central meeting and voting against Guru's statement of wearing the tolga for tantrayana which is TBS' leanings
However, as Guru has Taoist, Buddhist .... leanings, it is truly up to individual to choose which he is more prone too as well
Guru does not like to use force which resultant is unhappiness
I also become pretty obvious when the Dharma propagator gave a Sales talk and not a Dharma Speech!
There is a limit to what they can do to harm others, and I actually acted GOD when I wrote the article that obviously pointed to their shoddy and dishonest ways
It is not good to act GOD at all for a true yogi! Hehe..
I acted Demon too some time but I am sacrificing myself in those instances
It means giving up much of your accumulated cultivation merits
Hahaha! but merits are not important when one has true renunciation, correct?
My retreat has done wonders as I have a better mindset and also 'see' lots clearly while folding lotuses.
My hands busy and my mind too!
Astral Sight -- I am quite clear on each individual emitting light. I am telling all that we are all Light-bodies! It is futile to try and grab on to anything which eventually harm us and dim our light only.
The Chinese article that I put up just now, actually very profound and I might translate it but keep the meaning hidden, just like article itself.
The words are simple but seem to have no meaning on the surface.
Just like the pointing sticks articles.
Try to see only good of others to start with.
You can see how they are struggling to be good, see that taking vows means they want to be good and struggling to meet the vows.
After all, Buddha said that everything is Suffering and we have to learn to save ourselves from suffering and attain happiness.
The 4 Noble Truths --- something to live by. Use it all the time.
Start with taking another view, a good view!
Those with bad behaviour are struggling to be good and trying to be good
Hehe!
This will make you more happy too!
As you are actually the same, being mindful of your own Karmic deeds.
Swirling energy that are uncomfortable -- do you agree that you can take it as the good struggling with the bad to break through?
hahaha!
Cheers my dear
Hi Fashi
Many many thanks for reminding me to see only the good things in others.
It alone solves many problems :)
Really fashi, when we don't focus on others, in terms of letting them be, we can feel a certain serenity over the atmosphere.
I guess this is the positive effect over non-fixation.
Thanks again for reminding the pointing out, that externally we see lights (the goodness), and internally don't focus on disturbing emotions.
We're really transforming our mind to be 'pliable' in every sense.
Again thanks for the precious advice.
Cheers :)
Hahaha!
you are most welcome to an old lady's mindless renderings!
just remember the saying: there is 2 sides to a coin!
the wonderful thing about Buddhist philosophy is you can look at more than 2 sides!
hehe....
cheers
Fashi
Always find something new and something to relate to when re-reading the 4 Noble Truths and 8-fold path.
Really most people do underestimate these teachings.
Cheers.
