超度有效？Bardo Deliverance Effective?

Dear all,
After the rituals done for Bardo Delivery for a newly departed, how do you know whether what the practitioners promised you are effective?

Hahaha!

I am talking about most practitioners that charge you for this and that, but they failed to deliver as promised!

With Qing Ming Festival approaching, many rushed to buy lots of stuff to offer to their ancestors or late someone.

The thing is that you can burn lots of incense and etc. BUT the intended recipients failed to get what you offered!

Actually there are these scenarios:-

• the method of offering or dedication to the deceased is questionable;
• the deceased spent too freely and resources ran out fast;
• the offering or dedication was forcefully taken away by bullies of the underworld;
• or the practitioner or master lacks relevant "power" or "knowhow" to make sure the deceased get the necessary for survival.

Well, all these can happen before or after the 49 days of Bardo existence.

How to know there is a problem and the deceased is suffering?

When the deceased return to ask for supplies in your dream.
Or when things just don't go smoothly and worse scenario, everything went wrong.

Your health and wealth are badly affected and going downhill rapidly after the funeral and never recover.

Remember that GM Lu said when your ancestors are well taken care of, then you should be well too!

In a chat with GM Lu early this morning, effectiveness of Bardo Deliverance and Ancestor offering were the topics.
Also visions of certain deceased individuals that needed help, which will surfaced after the 49 days of Bardo Existence.

That mean, I will be busy with Bardo Deliverances pretty soon.

These are for those that didn't send off their newly departed ones effectively!

So when these newly departed ones from your family return to seek help, you will know that what you did for them at wakes are not effective.
Or when your life is going downhill or messed up, these newly departed ones need Help quick.

AA's dad got a hernia protrusion and needs operation. while the cost of surgery is quite expensive, is there any way that it can be helped with talisman or something?

they are catholic family and don't believe in mantra, fengshui and such.
the mom last time got a severe osteoporosis and i remember that GM has the talisman to cure it, unfortunately he doesn't believe in talisman, so i couldn't help with requesting to GM hahaha.

Dear all, let us ponder on what to do for this request, shall we?

1. Family is Catholic & don't believe in mantra; fengshui; talisman; .......
2. Osteoporosis? Last time? - so question is, is the problem is ongoing without much relieve or problem is arrested already?
3. Operation is expensive; are there alternatives like talisman or something?
4. Now, knowing the above, let us just help him anyway!

This email is pretty illuminating of most of us when WE GET EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED!

The statements are pretty contradictory and the conclusion is "Never mind the above, let us just help!" 

Yes! SZ has a talisman call "铜身铁骨" - means bronze body iron bone; which he got from referring to the "通天之书" - means Book able to communicate or link with Heaven. A book given by Maitreya, if I remember correctly.

This is to treat Shi-mu's osteoporosis, which is extremely sever or the bone marrow has hollowed out, and couldn't give support or in worse scenario, the bone will just crack & break. 

Most students that requested for this talisman seen Miracles with their own problems or that of their aged relatives or love ones.

However, a request can be made only at Taiwan or Seattle Temple by asking Golden Mother at the main hall's altar, by throwing the wooden crescents. 

Then the person using the talisman has to chant Guru's mantra 1080 times before partaking the talisman or using it for treatment.

Of course, your sincerity is the KEY to its effectiveness.

Quoting Wikipedia – Hernia:

[A hernia is the protrusion of an organ or the fascia of an organ through the wall of the cavity that normally contains it from within. There are different kinds of hernia, each requiring a specific management or treatment.]

Hernia can be contained by corset or other devices and maybe be a better alternative to surgery, if the patient is of poor health or affordability is a bigger issue than the discomfort of the hernia.

My suggestion?

Bodhicitta – SZ just explained the Key that Atisha learnt from his Guru, Serlingpa, in Jambi, Indonesia.

"Mutual exchange of status or position."

Think! You are suffering from hernia that the doctors said require surgery that you can't afford.

You "melted" or "merged" into this person & then you cultivate to seek blessing from your root guru and divinities.

The person gets the blessing every time you cultivate this way! :)

Or you cultivate Guru yoga & as Guru, blesses this person with light to cleanse and pure and then to fill and radiate to share with all beings. :)

**However, do remember the person's karmic foes, bless them with immense light too! 

This is Bodhicitta and main factor is Buddha Dharma, with a little time & effort = Resources; and Indifferent to rewards or returns – just do & forget, no fixation nor attachment. 

Boddhicitta has 3 main factors:

1. Resource 财施
2. Dharma 法施
3. Indiferent to rewards & no attachment to the deeds performed 无谓施
