Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. 

In many cases, MRI gives different information about structures in the body than can be seen with an X-ray, ultrasound, or computed tomography (CT) scan. 

MRI also may show problems that cannot be seen with other imaging methods.


For an MRI test, the area of the body being studied is placed inside a special machine that contains a strong magnet. 

Pictures from an MRI scan are digital images that can be saved and stored on a computer for more study. 

The images also can be reviewed remotely, such as in a clinic or an operating room. 

In some cases, contrast material may be used during the MRI scan to show certain structures more clearly.

You may be able to have an MRI with an open machine that doesn't enclose your entire body. But open MRI machines aren't available everywhere. 

The pictures from an open MRI may not be as good as those from a standard MRI machine.

Why It Is Done

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is done for many reasons. 

It is used to find problems such as tumors, bleeding, injury, blood vessel diseases, or infection. MRI also may be done to provide more information about a problem seen on an X-ray, ultrasound scan, or CT scan. 

Contrast material may be used during MRI to show abnormal tissue more clearly. 

An MRI scan can be done for the:

Head. MRI can look at the brain for tumors, an aneurysm, bleeding in the brain, nerve injury, and other problems, such as damage caused by a stroke. 

MRI can also find problems of the eyes and optic nerves , and the ears and auditory nerves.

Chest. MRI of the chest can look at the heart, the valves, and coronary blood vessels . It can show if the heart or lungs are damaged. MRI of the chest may also be used to look for breast cancer.

Blood vessels. Using MRI to look at blood vessels and the flow of blood through them is called magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). It can find problems of the arteries and veins, such as an aneurysm, a blocked blood vessel, or the torn lining of a blood vessel (dissection). Sometimes contrast material is used to see the blood vessels more clearly.

Abdomen and pelvis. MRI can find problems in the organs and structures in the belly, such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, and bladder. It is used to find tumors, bleeding, infection, and blockage. 

In women, it can look at the uterus and ovaries. 

In men, it looks at the prostate.

Bones and joints. MRI can check for problems of the bones and joints, such as arthritis, problems with the temporomandibular joint , bone marrow problems, bone tumors, cartilage problems, torn ligaments or tendons, or infection. 

MRI may also be used to tell if a bone is broken when X-ray results are not clear. MRI is done more commonly than other tests to check for some bone and joint problems.

Spine. MRI can check the discs and nerves of the spine for conditions such as spinal stenosis, disc bulges, and spinal tumors.


How To Prepare

Before your MRI test, tell your doctor and the MRI technologist if you:
Are allergic to any medicines. 

The contrast material used for MRI does not contain iodine. 

If you know that you are allergic to the contrast material used for the MRI, tell your doctor before having another test.

Have a health condition, such as diabetes, sickle cell anemia, or kidney problems. You may need to change your medicine schedule. 

And some conditions may prevent you from having an MRI using contrast material.
Are or might be pregnant.
Have any metal implanted in your body. 

This helps your doctor know if the test is safe for you. 

Tell your doctor if you have:
Heart and blood vessel devices such as a coronary artery stent, a pacemaker, an ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator), or a metal heart valve.
Metal pins, clips, or metal parts in your body, including artificial limbs and dental work or braces.
Any other implanted medical device, such as a medicine infusion pump or a cochlear implant.
Cosmetic metal implants, such as in your ears, or tattooed eyeliner.
Had recent surgery on a blood vessel. 

In some cases, you may not be able to have the MRI test.

Have an intrauterine device (IUD) in place. 

An IUD may prevent you from having the MRI test done.
Become very nervous in confined spaces. 

You need to lie very still inside the MRI magnet, so you may need medicine to help you relax. 

Or you may be able to have the test done with open MRI equipment. 

It is not as confining as standard MRI machines.
Wear any medicine patches. 

The MRI may cause a burn at the patch site.

You may need to arrange for someone to drive you home after the test, if you are given a medicine (sedative) to help you relax.

For an MRI of the abdomen or pelvis, you may be asked to not eat or drink for several hours before the test.

You may need to sign a consent form that says you understand the risks of the test and agree to have it done.

Talk to your doctor about any concerns you have regarding the need for the test, its risks, how it will be done, or what the results will mean.

Hahaha! I experienced one recently on Saturday, 11 July 2015 from about 9am to 10:54 am. 

Its a very uncomfortable test to undergo! 

AND the doctors just said I need ONE but didn't give me the detailed information as above LINK!

In this speech, GM Lu shared that Adharmabuddha first transmit 恒河大手印法Ganga Mahamudra Dharma to Bao Yi Tong Zi . 

[恒河（梵文：गङ्गा，印地语：गंगा，乌尔都语：گنگا‎（Ganga）]

Thus, Bao Yi Tong Zi, is actually the 2nd generation of transmission of Mahamudra.

GM Lu said about 30years ago, he has already written in the 50th or so book about Mahamudra.

And Maha Perfection includes Mahamudra, and is the more rounded and perfect dharma.

在戒定慧之中，這戒是戒止惡行，定是定心一處，慧是破妄證真。

簡單的說，持戒是清淨心則安，心安可獲得定，得定可觀照分明而生智慧。
在戒定慧解脫知見中說明：

「一戒，二定，三慧，四解脫，五解脫知見，這五者叫五分法身。

戒者防身之惡，定者使心不亂，慧者破妄證真，解脫者離諸繫縛而證得涅槃，解脫知見者即涅槃所起之智慧。」

這三學，就是三無漏學 (3 Types of Anasrava Dharma)。

Pahala Membangun Stupa Sungguh Tak Terbayangkan

Teratai yang kupersembahkan di rumah ibadah setempat dulu terbuat dari kertas sembahyang yang berwarna kuning. Yang versi lima warna ini dicetak di tahun 2010 setelah aku ditahbiskan sebagai bhiksuni.


Dari arsip percakapan:
Orang-orang di Miri, Sarawak sedang membuat stupa dari kertas sembahyang dengan dharani Usnisa Wijaya yang tercetak di atasnya.
Stupa-stupa itu warnanya putih, tapi dharani-nya dicetak dalam berbagai warna.
Apakah bagian putihnya bisa diplaster dari tanah liat putih?
Cobalah lihat baik-baik :)

Mereka juga menyebutkan pahala dari membangun stupa!

Di atas dan berikut ini adalah stupa dengan 2 macam dharani! :)

Aku terus-menerus melihat banyak stupa berwarna keemasan yang mengelilingiku setelah puja api homa di hari Jumat! :)

2009: Kuingat pertama kali aku mempersembahkan stupa di rumah ibadah setempat kepada Ksitigarbha. Mereka tiap bulan ada satu kali sesi penjapaan sutra Ksitigarbha.

Aku mendonasikan $20 sebagai persembahan.
Lalu juga melipat banyak teratai dan stupa untuk dipersembahkan kepada semua arwah dan juga para leluhurku.

Di dalam Samadhi, aku melihat setiap kelopak dari bunga-bunga teratai dipenuhi dengan “orang-orang”.
Dalam segala kemegahannya yang berkilauan keemasan, stupa-stupa itu terbang ke Surga, dan setiap geladak dari tiap tingkatnya juga dipenuhi dengan “orang-orang” yang berdiri di bagian luarnya.

Hahaha! Stupa dan teratai sungguhlah persembahan yang fantastis bagi semua insan.

造塔功德不可思议

「尊胜佛塔能够鎮一切地丶水丶火丶風的災難，利益無量眾生」。
Stupa Buddha Usnisa Wijaya mampu menyingkirkan segala bencana Tanah, Air, Api, Angin, serta memberi manfaat yang tak terhingga kepada semua insan.

「造塔可以轉移因果，甚至獲得來世轉生諸天天主的功德」。
Membangun Stupa mampu mengalihkan Karma, bahkan mampu membuat seseorang terlahir kembali di berbagai surga dengan pahala penguasa surga.

佛塔即代表「諸佛的宫殿」而佛即代表身口意之清淨。
Demikianlah maka Stupa Buddha melambangkan [Istana Para Buddha], dan para buddha melambangkan Kesucian Tubuh, Ucapan, dan Pikiran.

因此不論是頂禮或繞佛塔及壇城，自然能獲得無量的功德。
Oleh karenanya, bagaimanapun caranya kamu memberikan penghormatan lewat namaskara ataupun mengelilingi stupa ataupun altar mandala, secara alamiah kamu akan menerima pahala yang tak terhingga.

因此密教祖師阿底峽尊者開示道∶「在世間上所有的有為善法之中，没有比轉繞佛塔所獲得福德更大的了」。
Demikianlah guru leluhur tantra, Atisha, mengajarkan di dalam ceramah dharmanya: Di dunia saha ini, dari segala macam dharma yang mulia, tak ada satupun yang mampu melampaui pahala dari mengitari Stupa Buddha.

Kamu juga bisa belajar cara melipat stupa seperti gambar-gambar di atas pula. :)
Tapi ingatlah satu hal ini: Persembahan yang tulus!
Memberikan persembahan bukan karena ingin mendapatkan pahala yang lebih banyak untuk DIRI SENDIRI!
Karena semua yang dilakukan untuk diri sendiri bukanlah cerminan Buddha!

Black Magic?

2004. I had very high fever and warded upon seeking medical aid.
Many tests were done to determine the cause of this fever, but no conclusive evidence of any culprit!
I was placed in isolation in case what I have is contagious.
I had 4 different antibiotics given to me via mouth and intravenously.
Around midnight, I woke up because my clothes were wet through, including pillow cases, blanket, and bedsheet.
Thereafter, the mysterious fever disappeared.
Upon discharge, the diagnosis stay as Fever of Unknown Origin.

I consulted an O&G specialist after a big blog of blood appeared in my toilet bowl.
Sent for scan in hospital and results were many cysts were found in my womb.
Went for second opinion, the ultra sound also concur with the one done by hospital. The doctor that I went for second opinion advised me to go for surgery the next day as it happens to be one of his operating day!

My mom who accompanied me, said to try TCM.
I started taking herbal prescription.
About 2 weeks later, while watching TV, watery discharge just pour out, wetting chair & floor.
I went back for ultra sound scan of my womb again after 2 months from the diagnosis at the same hospitall.
All the "foreign" stuff has disappeared.
I asked the doctor why in the space of 2 months, all cysts and tumors just gone.
He said he don't really know the exact cause but sometime cysts do resolve themselves.
Think: What if I proceed with surgery of total removal of my uterus and ovaries?

These are what Black magic can make happen.
I knew someone who has signs and symptoms of renal failure but turn out to be false. A Tantric master said she possessed by spirit, and help her removed the spirit and she is alright and healthy afterwards.


Now, a similar attack of high fever occurred last year when I am visiting Jogya.
It also resolved quickly with fever medication.

The next one, my left eye somehow lost focus because pupil seem to be stuck and only can move from centre to right and vice versa.
I went to optician and the vision of each eye pretty close to my prescription glasses.

The double vision occurs only when I use both eyes to see.
So I started on a regime of eyedrops and Jinmu's eye exercises.
The left eye gradually went back to normal function.

In early June this year, the left eye again misbehave!
My son noticed the pupil being "lazy"!

So I started the regime of exercises again, with eye drops applcation at regular interval.
However, a week ago, an ache appeared in the middle of my left buttock and span all the way down to my ankle, on the outer side of my limb.
This ache is irritating as its not sharp pain but naggy and comes on with the slightess change in position or just dig in at will.
I consulted with my TCM contacts, and started to take some detoxicating preparation.
I suspect viral origin!

After 5 days of sleeplessness, I forced myself to seek medical aid.
Doctor ignored my problem limb and said he is more concern about my eye which he said can be result of tumor, minor stroke, anuerysm .......
 Sounded scary!

I was referred to hospital for further management.

Doctors in the hospital's Accident & Emergency Department has similar views as the polyclinic's one.

So a chunk of tests were performed, like ECG, brain scan, xray, ......
All these tests turned up non indicative of the suspected illnesses.

Only blood sugar level was high at 13.3 and blood pressure 144/77.

But I was admitted for further management.

A series of blood tests, xray, a lumbar puncture, even a MRI for brain and lumbar region were carried out to find the culprit of this illness!

Now, Saturday, at 15.40 pm. Doctor informed me that they didn't find any abnormality from all tests done do far.

They are ruling that the Diabetic problem is the culprit for my eye and nerve pain.

The black magic angle came to mind yesterday!

If so, the diabetic problem and hypertension will soon disappear too!

Lets wait and see! :)

指頭放白色光芒


我深深覺得，學佛之人，須下定決心，有幾件事要特別注意：
一、去除凡情。立志學佛，世俗之凡情，少沾染。
二、宜脫俗氣。粗俗的凡事，與行者無涉，不要去學俗法。
三、摒棄習性。人皆有惡習，要把不好的習慣斷盡，偷、盜、淫、妄、酒、貪、瞋、痴…。
四、清淨淫欲。人心太半貪色貪花，淫心不可起，不淨的地方勿去。
五、名利勿求。凡事不求名、不求利，淡泊名利，如此則名利心不紛紛擾擾。
六、滅去我見。一般來說，我執重的人，我見也重，我見往往是偏見，宜學習古聖之言。
七、宜泯法執。修法時，也不宜太執著法，法法自然最重重，法應尚捨，何況非法，學佛要知道變通。
八、宜除煩惱。盡量把自己放空，過去的煩惱勿憶起，現在的煩惱宜去除，未來的煩惱不去想。


這也是：
隨世應世。因物付物。對境忘境。居塵出塵。世事宜看得空。世情宜看得淡。
對萬萬事物，宜擔得起，尤宜放得下。當我坐法座上。
我必須收拾起千心萬心，收拾起萬事萬物，我變成一位孤單單的行者，空氣已漸漸的凝固了起來。
精神集中。無二念。身不動。

我將一個指頭伸出。我的口念著咒語。身是本尊。意在加持。

於是，指頭的白光就透了出來。有圖為證。

那個時候：
那是光的出現，光會射向了灌頂幡的人群，這時候，灌頂幡就有了本尊光，人群也有本尊光，浮蕩蕩的空氣，全是白光了。
熱熱的。香香的。舒舒的。
熨貼在每一個人的身子上。

法流舒展開來。
Aliran energi Dharma terpancar dengan leluasa.

快速的運轉在每一個人的心。
Dengan segera menggerakkan hati tiap orang.

每一個人的心就化為一朵開放的蓮花。
Hati tiap orang berubah menjadi sekuntum bunga teratai yang mekar.

那是：Demikianlah:

本尊降臨壇城。
Yidam turun ke altar mandala.

本尊降臨我身。
Yidam turun memasuki tubuhku.

本尊在手指頭。
Yidam berada di ujung jariku.

本尊在群眾的心。
Yidam berada di hati orang-orang.

Lotuschef Lama (LL): GC apa tidak hadir? G, kapan kembali ke Sg?

CT: GC ini khan kepala keluarga, mencari nafkah untuk kita!!!
Wow jadi kita bisa belajar taiji dan zen 1 jari shaolin (ikon jempol).
GC, beritahu klienmu kalau kamu ada rapat mendesak Sabtu ini dan harus kembali ke Sg!

LL: Di suatu titik dalam kehidupan karir kita, PEKERJAAN mempunyai makna yang baru. Bayi-bayi yang kita besarkan, bagaikan lagu yang kita karang, mereka menjadi mahakarya, dan kita tinggal duduk santai saja dan memutarnya kembali. Ini sangat mirip dengan yang dilakukan GC. Mencari uang untuk menafkahi keluarga?
Hahaha! Pola pikir ini terlalu bikin stress untuk ditelusuri :) :) :)

GC: Wah… PY ini sangat dalam maknanya (ikon menjulurkan lidah)

LL: Hehe! Buddha khan kebijaksanaannya tak terbatas, jadi kita harus melihat berbagai macam hal dari beberapa sudut pandang, supaya mampu meninggalkan penderitaan dan mendapatkan kebahagiaan. Itu salah satu ajaran utama!
Setelah itu adalah mengendalikan nasib diri sendiri! Hahaha!
Segala hal adalah manifestasi pikiran sendiri.
Suci ataupun tidak, harus dilakukan ataupun tidak!
Sudah ya ceramahnya!

CS: Kukira nasib sudah ditentukan oleh Tuhan.

LW: Kuingat bahkan di sekolah, PY penuh dengan kebijaksanaan dan ajaran Buddha.

LL: Hahaha! Bisakah kamu menggapai Tuhan?
Agama hanyalah kondisi psikologis pikiran saja.
Berbagai konsep yang diajarkan adalah untuk masing-masing individu, supaya digunakan untuk kebaikan dirinya sendiri, dan dalam skala yang lebih besar adalah memberi manfaat bagi para insan. Itulah yang disebut sebagai Beramal.
Kamu membantu di vihara ataupun gereja ataupun rumah penampungan gelandangan, adalah untuk meringankan penderitaan dan membawa kebahagiaan bagi orang-orang yang kamu temui.

LW: Benar.

LL: Yesus bilang: berbagai perbuatan baik yang dilakukan oleh tangan kanan jangan sampai diketahui oleh tangan kiri.
Artinya lakukanlah perbuatan baik itu, dan kemudian jangan dipamerkan ataupun memikirkan pamrihnya.
Hehe! KJ bilang bantuan yang kamu berikan akan membawa berkah bagimu!

LW: Aku sekarang umat Katolik yang telah dibaptis, tapi aku akan turut menolong iparku di viharanya akhir pekan ini. Mereka akan mengadakan suatu perayaan dan butuh bantuan di dapur. Aku tak melihat ada yang salah dengan hal tersebut, jadi aku menawarkan untuk membantu. Bukan demi berkah atau pamrih…

LL: Ya, konsep yang sama mengenai kesetaraan. Kita semua punya kodrat buddha atau kodrat tuhan. Demikianlah maka kita semua ini sama. Apakah kamu mampu menampilkan kodrat bawaan ini dan menggunakannya, semuanya tergantung pada diri sendiri.

CS: Agama Katolik adalah mengenai iman kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa, bukan sebuah agama. Bapa yang Maha Kuasa, yang penuh Cinta Kasih dan Pengampun; ingin mempunyai sebuah hubungan dengan kita dan oleh karenanya kita dipanggil ke dalam komuni bersama dengan orang-orang lain. Kuharap aku memahaminya dengan benar!

Di dalam Agama Buddha, ada yang dinamakan sebagai Jalan Tengah. Tak ada yang benar ataupun salah, baik ataupun buruk. Ini adalah Agama Buddha aliran Zen.

LL: CS, kenapa Tuhan ingin punya hubungan dengan kita semua? Cobalah renungkan! Apa yang hendak kamu sampaikan? :):)
Oh! Dewata dari India, Brahma, adalah sang pencipta dan dikatakan sebagai Tuhan umat Kristen dan juga sebagai Allah.

Now my critic view:-
There is still the very human element of pride and disgruntled sentiments well.
He still wants and craves for material to sustain his status in the sentient realm. There is some thing fringing on ruthlessness too as if he wants to revenge on those that cause him the immense sufferings.

When a person accepts ordination as a monk, he has already talked himself into Letting Go. This sentiment, I am afraid is not that easy to portray.

When a person has truly let go, there is a ease; peace; joy and a light shining from him. Have a good look at GM for reference.

The hardship and the motivation to push forward should not be there.

There should be an inner peace that one has renounced the sentient world and all its tentacles. 

He should be smiling and sharing happiness around instead of such a sorrowful and helpless plus hopeless expression.

When one renounce the sentient world, meaning nothing can cause him happiness or unhappiness. 

One stays unmoved by environmental factors and merge into Universe or Nature.

A person's aura just somehow cannot be truly camouflage with Superb Acting skills.

The lyrics shown : 悟性 悟觉 悟空 心甘情愿

Realised nature, senses, void, One's heart does it willingly.

悟 = Realisation or Enlightenment.

Well, thats one angle only! :)

For actors & actresses, they have to put themselves into what is required or written in the scripts or merge into the story, WITH their own portrayal.

Most important, they must make sure Audiences buy their playing true to the part given; and most of us are sentient beings and easily accepts the Hardships portrayed, because we have yet to be enlightened. :)

If he acted full of joy, then audiences might think he plays false to his role, agree?

If we be critical - the lyrics for realisation of nature, senses, void, One's heart does it willing?

Remember a factor of Enlightenment GM shared 无心道人  A Practitioner of Dao or Path, without a Heart?

Is there a Heart for the Enlightened?
