Liu Hai 刘海

Liu Hai - A folk lore's fairy child. He has a rounded blob of hair on his forehead, need & tidy short hair, child-like look, lovable.

Often depicted in painting riding on a [海蟾蜍學名Bufo marinus)] - frog-like animal with a coin in it's mouth; holding a string of coins.
Hence, when children and women kept a blob of hair like his on the forehead, termed as "liu hai" style.

The following from 圆觉弥陀村Yuan Jue Mi Tuo Cun, in Puli, Nantou County.

Hahaha! We wanted to go to Chung Tai Chan Monastery but somehow guided to this place in Puli, before getting our directions right to proceed to target destination!

I chanced upon this portrait of Liu Hai! :)
Why?
Must be Affinity with "Liu Hai", concur? :)

If you listen to Guru's speech attentively, you will realize that Guru said his teacher "Qing Zhen Dao Zhang 清真道长" carries a portrait of Liu Hai with him.

To cultivate the practice for Resources , one needs Liu Hai's portrait or statue & not the frog or toad with a coin in his mouth only!

Go listen to Guru's speech again, please.
Really, really don't take my words for Truth! Hahaha!

Didn't you hear Guru said that firstly, we show sentient beings some benefits they can get when they cultivate with us. Then when they are conducive to learning, we share Buddha Dharma with them!

From the senseless pursuits of Fortune Gods that day, even those veterans that were with TBS for decades also have not reach "conducive to learn Buddha Dharma" stage, agree?

Don't get carried away so easily by what others said.
Listen attentively to Guru ONLY!

Affinity is something that is only Present in those that are NOT GREEDY, NOT IGNORANT, NO AVERSION for anyone!
Hahaha!

We plan to visit this Yuan Jue Mi Tuo Cun again!

Cheers all.
