一位弟子，「蓮花森一」告訴我：
A student, Lotus Shen-yi, told me:
他受了「煙供」灌頂，學習了「煙供」的口訣及方法，便在自家的陽台燒煙供。
He received Abhiseka for Smoke Offering, learned the keys & method, then did burn Smoke Offering at the balcony of his residence.
那一天，他想起自己的母親，由於母親已逝世多年，也從來未在夢中看見她，他特別召請母親也來受煙供。
That day, he thought of his mother, she passed away many years but didn't see her in dream at all, so he specially invited his late mother to accept Smoke Offering.
他點火。
He lighted fire.
煙裊裊升起。
Smoke curls upwards.
（蓮花森一口中喃喃的誦：嗡。嘛呢叭咪。吽。）
Lotus Shen-yi chants: Om Mani Pad Me Hom
那煙奇怪。
The smoke is unusual.
煙一直往自己的臉上吹拂，而且久聚不散。
Smoke kept blowing into his own face, and gathered but didn't disperse.
他突然靈機一動，說：
He suddenly has this bright spark, said:
「如果是母親來受煙供，請繞著自己的脖子三圈。」
If is is mother who comes to accept smoke offering, please circle my neck 3 times.
那煙卻真的裊裊的，以優美的姿態，繞了脖子三圈。」
The smoke truly curled upwards in a graceful pattern, circling his neck 3 times.
哇！真的是母親來了！
Wow! Truly is mother's presence!
他問：
He asked:
「母親，你現在的境界如何？如果是上升，煙往上沖，如果是下降，煙往下吹。」
Mother, which realm are you presently in? If upwards, smoke rises up; if downwards, smoke blown downwards.
說也奇怪：
Its is unusual to say:
煙往上沖。
Smoke rises upwards.
哇！是上到天上界了！
Wow! Is up to Heavenly Realm!
他又問：
He asked again:
「母親，我現在做股票，我現在該買還是該賣？」
Mother, I am into Stock Brokering, should I buy or sell now?
（買是上沖，賣是下降）
Buy then upwards, sell then downwards.
那煙，漸漸的蜿繞而下降至足，而且在足上停留。
That smoke, gradually meanders downwards to the foot, at the same time staying on the foot.
哇！真的很準喔！隔一天，股票就連降好多天。
Wow! Very Accurate! The next day, Stocks plummeted for a few days.
他問：
He asked:
「小弟成績如何？」
How is younger brother's results?
那煙不高不低，呈現平平的姿態。
That smoke not high nor low, showing average pattern.
哇！真準！
Wow! Very accurate!
小弟的成績平平而已。
Younger brother's results is average.
他問：
He asked:
「我的婚姻將來如何？」
How is the future of my marriage?
（因為蓮花森一，與自己的妻子感情不是很和睦）
Because Lotus Shen-yi's marital relationship is not very harmonious.
想不到那煙表現得更奇，竟然橫的一條，最後，從中間裂為兩半。
Unthinkably, smoke uniquely present, a horizontal stroke and then from middle break into 2 halves.
哇！證之後來，果然離婚了！
Wow! Affirmed later, truly went through divorce.
他問：
He asked:
「盧師尊是不是大成就者？」
Is Grandmaster Lu a great achiever? (Means Cultivation Attainment)
最怪的事情發生了，那升上來的煙，竟然自動的形成一個字：
The most unusual happened, that smoke rises up and formed a character:
「大」！
Big!
他又問：
He asked again:
「盧師尊是大成就者，但，災難是如此的多，為什麼是這樣？」
Grandmaster Lu is a great achiever, but, lots of calamities, why is this so?
想不到，煙跑去繞著鐵欄桿。
Unbelievably, the smoke went around a metal rail.
蓮花森一想：
Lotus Shen-yi thought:
一定是障礙！如果是障礙，那也是滿準的。
Must be Hindrance! If is Hindrance, then pretty accurate.
……。
蓮花森一燒「煙供」，結果用「煙供」自然能問事，這也是一奇。
Lotus Shen-yi burn Smoke Offering, resulted in using Smoke offering to naturally [wen-shi] - (means consultation); this is Unusual or Unique.
我說：
I say:
「煙供」能問事，這純屬一件特別的例子，不一定人人能。
Smoke Offering can do consultation, this is purely an Unique example, not everyone can do so.
股票有漲有跌，我個人不喜問股票。
Stocks rise and fall, I personally do not like to ask about Stocks.
問修行，我倒是比較喜歡。
I prefer to be asked about Cultivation.
鬼神能問事嗎？

我告訴大家：鬼神一切知。

If you are doing Smoke Offering for a purpose, and that is for Self, like the above student, sad to said that you are truly lacking in knowledge of True Purpose of Cultivation.
Well?
You are too sentiently entangled and will waste away your limited Life span this visit without Freeing Self from Samsara and what more helping others to break free too!
