My dear Xiaotian, in Buddhism, there should not be any political leaning. Everything exist for a while only. As to going to the extend of suicide to push through a point, it is aleady against what Buddha teaches. GM always say, no matter who beat him, scold him, slander him, harm him, he is not bothered at all. Why? because Buddhas do not perceive any good or bad, and nothing can harm the True Buddha Nature of any one. Even us, our Buddha Nature is steadfast and unchangeable. That's why I said these are suicidal ignorants who were instigated by those that suppose to teach them the Right version of Buddha's teachings. hehe...

Last August, while I was in Seattle, I went online and saw the Presidential candidates' photos. After looking at them, i picked one that has a very good shining aura. Well, he was elected. But I had to do repentance for being naughty. I should not do any predictions of these kind at all! Hehe! Anyway, I just don't even glance at any potential candidates or for that matter, anyone asking for an aura reading! I am good lotus child nowadays. Cheers

Xiaotian Zhu One more question: what do you think about the 'people power' movement led by the Catholic bishop that overthrew the authoritarian regime of marcos in Phillippine? their motive seems very noble and create big big good karma.

Hahaha! Like any ruler, there comes a time when they have to go. What they did when in Power determine how they are going to be remove. I do not sanction any religious group instigating an uprising which somehow creates negatives of lost of lives and etc... Did they truly create big big good karma? Hahaha! From past history, rulers are overthrown by others who are just as crazy for power to control. Like reincarnation, each one exchange the old shell for another new one and the form it takes might be from any of the 6 realms dependent on their Karmic influences. Everyone should help themselves by learning a way to jump out of the 6 realms permanently and not create negatives to be paid back indefinitely! Agree? :) lotuschef

Xiaotian Zhu mostly agree but Fashi, in the case of Phillippine, the Catholic bishops back to their own original role as religious leaders after the regime had been overthrown. Their motive is not power but the benefit for their people. Hope fashi not bothered by my fussiness.
Francesca Poon Hahaha! It is good to air your views. It is a form of acquiring knowledge and also sharing with others that dare not voice their views. Some scare to be seen as ignorant/stupid. I personally believe, one must ask or share and be humble if one wants to learn and advance self, no matter in religion or in life
Francesca Poon I watched documentaries, n I saw that the central church too has lots of politics. For example, they covered up the problem of disgraced priests who rape children, and send them to churches in some remote places. Well, these priests continue to rape children too. When they were discovered again, they tried to cover up again. I believe we should not do that. It is like setting Piranhas into a lake, killing all the lives in that lake

Francesca Poon Those that killed themselves to gain attention or sympathy for their political cause or were instigated to do so, they are ignorants and their instigators are murderers! In Buddhism, one learns about Karma and one has to learn to neutralize it or accept whatever dealt out. Cultivation is one way and doing charitable acts is another to clear one's karmic debts.
For the instigators, they have to ensure that everyone they indirectly murdered goes to Pure Land before they can be free to cultivate to Pure Land. Therefore dying is never the solution.

Thoughts that are allowed to grow with environmental stimuli are evil.
That is putting thoughts into action like speech.
Once begin, hard to stop! Apply that to any situation.
When others hurt you, you absorb it and divert it to void it through Guru, to the Universal void or do it yourself.
These negatives halted by you and did not blossom out to affect others.
That's what we cultivators should learn n practice.
