Why is there a Difference in Opinion with regards to the Taipei event?
Perhaps viewing the recorded video of the event might throw some light in this matter! :)
Back in the earlier days of SZ's cultivation session, have you seen the ones of SZ doing fire puja in the outdoors in Seattle and disciples squatted nearby SZ, who is sitting on a low stool?
Although the weather is cold from the amount of clothing the attendees are wearing, non of them look miserable like those in the Taipei event!
They were happy whether seated or standing watching SZ does fire offering.
If the video cameras were to take close-ups of those seated in the open, with rain pelting them, and also those seated under shelter with cold winds bitting them, you will understand why Lotuschef said the Taipei event is a flop!
Of course, it aches SZ to see so many attendees exposed to the harsh weather from start to end.
He also is compassionate towards the host of the event, as they had ploughed in much efforts!
To lightened the whole dreary atmosphere, SZ used his Buddhaly Power to void all negatives with his pronouncement of "every drop of rain that hits you, is 10 million dollars gifts"!
SZ said the rain is Wealth, gifts from Usnisa to all!
As to the Host?
Well, efforts were put in and she stressed they did continuous chanting for 7 days and nights.
In the Padmakumara Sadhana - the praise states that : One Mantra will rise to Twin Lotus Pond.
What is the point here?
Remember SZ said when you chant the Amitabha Buddha's title or mantra, you need to visualize his appearance and also blessing you with light, and of course, hand mudra too.
Then what you chant is Effective!
I remember a fashi from USA asked me in Caotun temple: how to do visualization for Usnisa Vijaya?
I replied: Dazzling white light that is eye-piercing like the Sun, but when you close your eyes, you feel warmth slowly descending from the top of your head slowly warming you, giving you a very happy feeling and a well care-for feeling too.
Yes! even with closed eyes, you can "see" bright eye-piercing light!
It is like when the Sun's light shines on bright metal surfaces and the light being reflected from these surfaces, these lights become pretty eye-piercing too!
Alas, the fashi didn't bother to cultivate or even chant Usnisa Vijaya Dharani.
Now, let's scroll back to the Mayuri event Feb 2010 in Caotun temple.
Almost all were seated under the hot sun, fashi fared the worse as they have bald heads!
SZ compassionately request Mayuri to spread wings to provide shade to all of us sitting in the open!
In Taipei - Lotuschef took photos of the clouds formation when SZ is doing the variation of mudra formation for bardo delivery of all registered spirits.
All clouds were of animal forms streaming by, and when One human form appears, SZ stops and ended the stage of cultivation.
The Human form looks like a male and a red indian, found in American history!
On another occasion, Kalachakra event in Jakarta, SZ said the smoke from incense forms Kalachakra.
Hahaha! When I looked at that photo, I see Jesus Christ!
The flower head band, the hair and color, the nose, chin and eyes, somehow tells me, "I am Jesus Christ"!
Of course in this case, I take SZ's version and tell myself, Kalachakra might have some origin or ancestry in common with Jesus Christ! :)
However, the Taipei event is a different kettle of fish!
