Lotuschef at Play – Who Am I? 我是谁? [8A]

Read in Indonesian : Lotuschef Bermain-main - Siapakah saya? 我是谁? [8A]

Maha Mayuri 孔雀明王

In Vajrayana Buddhism, a Wisdom King (Sanskrit विद्याराज vidyarāja, Chinese Míngwáng 明王, Japanese 明王 myō-ō) is the third type of deity after Buddhas and bodhisattvas. The Sanskrit name literally "king of knowledge", thus the Chinese character "明", meaning knowledgeable (and/or bright) is used, leading to wide array of alternative English names including Radiant King, among others like Guardian King, etc. Wisdom Kings belong to the Buddhist Pantheon. In Tibetan Buddhism, they are known as Heruka.

The female counterparts of Wisdom Kings are known as Wisdom Queens (Ch: Míngfēi 明妃; Jp: 明妃 myōhi), although the distinction is often ignored.

As mentioned above, Wisdom Kings are usually represented as wrathful deities, often with blue skin, many arms, sometimes with many faces, and even many legs. They hold weapons in their hands and are sometimes adorned with skulls, snakes or animal skins and wreathed in flames.

A notable exception is Mahamayuri (Ch: Kǒngquè míngfēi 孔雀明妃 or Kǒngquè fómǔ 孔雀佛母; Jp: Kujaku myo-ō 孔雀明王), the "Peacock Wisdom Queen", who is usually presented with a peaceful expression. She is easily identifiable as she usually rides a peacock.

Seattle 30 August 2009, Shizun hosted Mahamayuri event at Rainbow Villa. This is the debut abhiseka of this Yidam. The offering is done to facilitate the open abhiseka of this yidam on the 5 September 2009, Autumn Event.
Another of thanks giving was done on the 12 September 2009 for this yidam.

I was seated in the 2nd row from front on the left side of the hall.
As I arrived in Seattle on 25th August, I had a good look at Mahamayuri's statue of all sizes and variants.
This one is easy to remember as only need to remember four items held by her four hands; sitting on a golden peacock. Derives from Vairocana Buddha, Sakyamuni Buddha & Amitabha Buddha and many associates and affiliates.

As we started to chant Mahamayuri's mantra, Shizun's version, I started to visualize transformation or merging with Mahamayuri.
Hahaha! I wrote about these before.

She kicks me out 3 times!
Each time making me more drowsy than previous!

Well? Shizun to the rescue!

I visualize shizun merges with me and then mahamayuri joins us!
Viola! Success!!!

See how very Important is One's own Root Guru!!!

I was ordained on 5 September 2009 at the Mahamayuri event by Shizun.

Of course, after the abhiseka from Shizun after the 30 August event, merging with Mahamayuri is no longer a problem.

Before the abhiseka, Mahamayuri will only "give face" to Shizun!!! Hahaha!

I have great affinity with  Mahamayuri, will share more encounters next. :)
