Six Birds of Paradise in Buddhist Sutras

[12:51, 2/18/2018] AA: hahaha! why put a peacock at home?
: this is a great topic for discussion!
BB: hehehe really
AA: THINK:
Q1 - what is the significance of displaying this peacock specimen?
Q2 - What is this specimen?

BB: can attract people
AA: think deeper b4 you comment, dear
BB: from heaven animal
AA: BB, if these are what you can think of from the 2 questions I put to you, then you are very far from Enlightenment lol 😜
: Why do you think people get attracted by a Peacock specimen?
: if its a "heaven animal" then why put up for display in a mortal's house?
: Hey CC, where are you? Why so quiet?
BB: lol
AA: 白鹤、孔雀、鹦鹉、舍利、迦陵频伽、共命之鸟 ~ these are birds found in Buddhist sutras alleging that they exist in Amitabha's pureland & also GM's true buddha sutra....What are these birds actually?
BB: yes peacok kalavinka n others
AA: they all have significance in the sutras, WHY?
BB: hmm..
: Peacock symbolism: Vision, Royalty, Spirituality, Awakening, Guidance, Protection, & Watchfulness. In Greco-Roman mythology the Peacock tail has the "eyes" of the stars. In Hinduism, the Peacockis associated with Lakshmi who representspatience, kindness and luck.

CC: halo
: each of those birds are manifestations of amitabha mah, some represent the speech quality
: but peacok represents the royalty and transmutation of poisons into beauty
AA: BB, you still didn't answer my 2 questions, hor!
BB: hahaha
BB: i need to learn more 🙏

: Q1: why display such a specimen in one's house? ~ To mortals, as you said, to attract people. That means to show off!

: Q2 - this is an animal's dead body or carcass!
: so it boils down to displaying dead bodies at home to show off! Hahaha!

: The peacock along with the other birds of paradise are just manifestations of Amitabha buddha to REPRESENT certain qualities or virtues only. nothing great about the birds themselves, but the keys are what they represent only!

: and if want to display, might as well display the specimen of one's dead ancestors to lock in memory of one's ancestors! 😜
: like my staying in a hotel in taipei, they displayed fabricated heads of animals n in my room, there is a zebra head. and in the bathroom, there are lots of spirits playing and splashing water in the bath tub!
: These animals displays whether they are preserved specimens of dead animals or fabricated ones, often attract ghostly spirits to live within them like the statues of fo pusa.
Remember the articles I wrote about ghostly spirits occupying the statue of Buddha and looked at me with a gangsterish glare?
