In a Festive Moment! 新春佳节情怀！

爆竹又称鞭炮、纸炮仔（客家话）、炮仗（粤语），起源至今有2000多年的历史。鞭炮最开始主要用于驱魔避邪，而在现代，华人在传统节日、婚礼喜庆、各类庆典、庙会活动等场合几乎都会燃放鞭炮，特别是在农历新年期间，鞭炮的使用量超过全年用量的一半。

Firecrackers have a 2000 years old history. 

Initially use to chase or ward off demons, but in current age, Chinese population use them in Traditional festivals, weddings, ceremonies, temples activities, especially during the Festive Chinese New Year, the usages of firecrackers more than half a year's quantity.
