穿心莲的功效与作用

味苦，性寒，无毒，归心、肺、大肠、膀胱经。

具有清热解毒，凉血消肿的功效。

主治急性菌痢，胃肠炎，感冒，流脑，气管炎，肺炎，百日咳，肺结核，肺脓疡，胆囊炎，高血压，鼻衄，口咽肿痛，疮疖痈肿，水火烫伤，毒蛇咬伤。

禁忌人群
阳虚症及脾胃虚弱者慎服。

穿心莲又名春莲秋柳、一见喜、榄核莲、苦胆草、斩蛇剑、圆锥须药草、日行千里、四方莲、金香草、金耳钩、春莲夏柳、印度草、苦草。为爵床科植物穿心莲的全草。穿心莲一年生草本，全草入药，荭呈方柱形，长50至70厘米，节稍膨大，质脆，易折断。单叶对生，近无柄，叶片多皱缩破碎，完整者呈披针形或长圆形，长3至12厘米，宽2至5厘米，上表面绿色，下表面灰绿色，两面光滑。气微，味极苦。

在中医药的五行学说中认为苦入心，而穿心莲只要你含入一小片它的叶子，马上可以感受到，那种刻骨铭心的苦，像是直入你的心中，故名“穿心莲”,是一种药食同源的食物，特别适合于感冒发烧、咽喉肿痛等呼吸道疾病患者和胃肠炎患者，因为它有清热、解毒、开胃的作用。

Andrographis paniculata is an annual herbaceous plant in the family Acanthaceae, native to India and Sri Lanka.

It is widely cultivated in Southern and Southeastern Asia, where it has been traditionally used to treat infections and some diseases. Mostly the leaves and roots were used for medicinal purposes. 

The whole plant is also used in some cases.

Andrographis paniculata is an erect annual herb extremely bitter in taste in all parts of the plant body. The plant is known in north-eastern India as Maha-tikta, literally "king of bitters", and known by various vernacular names (see the table below). As an Ayurveda herb it is known as Kalmegh or Kalamegha, meaning "dark cloud". It is also known as Nila-Vembu, meaning "neem of the ground", since the plant, though being a small annual herb, has a similar strong bitter taste as that of the large Neem tree (Azadirachta indica). In Malaysia, it is known as Hempedu Bumi, which literally means 'bile of earth' since it is one of the most bitter plants that are used in traditional medicine.

Traditional medicine

Since ancient times, A. paniculata has been used in traditional Siddha and Ayurvedic systems of medicine as well as in tribal medicine in India. This plant is a major ingredient of the polyherbal formulation by the name "Nilavembu kudineer choornam" in Siddha medicine.

According to the Mayo Clinic Book of Alternative Medicine, "A specific product (andrographis combined with Eleutherococcus senticosus) may shorten the duration and lessen the symptoms of common cold."

It also says, "Pregnant women shouldn't use andrographis because it could terminate pregnancy."

Medical use
A review concluded that existing evidence from controlled clinical trials supports a role for A. paniculata in the treatment of symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections.

There is no evidence of its effectiveness in cancer treatment.

【注意事项】

2、声哑、咽喉痛同时伴有其他症状，如心悸、胸闷、咳嗽气喘、痰中带血等，应及时去医院就诊。

3、按照用法用量服用，儿童应在医师指导下服用。

4、一般症状在服药三天内无改善或出现发热渐高等其他症状应去医院就诊。
