"WITHOUT SELF NATURE" MIND 极无自性心

"WITHOUT SELF NATURE" MIND 极无自性心
Dharma Talk by Living Buddha Lian Sheng on 12/10/95
(page 248-249 Achievement of Rainbow Light Body volume one)
Translated by Yuan Zheng Tang

Japanese monk Koho's ninth stage of mind development is known as "ji wu zi xing", which means a mind that is without self nature.
It is very difficult to explain this stage of mind development. It has embodied the following Buddhist terms : no ego, no Dharma, do sentient beings, no cultivation, no manifestation, no mind, no form , no self nature. I am sorry to say that there is no other better explanation.

A mind without self nature implies that the mind is composed of elements which disintegrate.

Cultivators who are in this stage of mind development are considered to be equal to that of Bodhisattvas (ten stages as classified by Mahayana school, and sixteen stages as defined by Tantrayana school).

Hence, they can invoke all the grades of Bodhisattvas for help.

In other words, although the cultivator does not exist,

and yet he can be omnipresent ! [these are not in Shizun's statements, translator added these from own interpretation.]
This is a stage which simply cannot be explained in words.

Everything can be considered as empty.

There is no self, no Dharma, and no sentient beings.

Moreover, there is nothing to cultivate, nothing to prove, as there is no form and no reference point.

In short, nothing exists in this stage of mind development.

Ten States in the Development of the Mind 十住心论

http://lotuschef.blogspot.sg/2014/04/ten-states-in-development-of-mind.html

9th state: “The mind of one who realizes the absence of substance within ultimate truth” (goku mujishô-shin):
The state of Hua-yen with its standpoint of the mutual non-obstruction and interpenetration between the patternment (Chn: li; Jpn: ri) of all and the concrete thing-events (Chn: shih; Jpn: ji) on the basis of their emptiness, whereby one and many are non-dualistic.

This non-duality is extended to the level of the entire dharmadhâtu.

Shizun's original version:

From my experience, the above can start from 4 Immeasurable visualization and Guru Yoga.

I shared method too during my maiden speech on 7 November 2009 at Seattle Temple.

Transforming Self and All into Root Guru [in the speech attached below],
then Self & All into Light, merging all into Universal Void.

In this way, when there is No more sentient beings, Dharma is no longer needed; correspondingly, All Individual's natures Void too!

Hahaha!
Tantrayana is Amazingly Varied!
However, it is also Simplicity very much like an innocent new born infant. :)

These statement : All Roads Lead to Rome!
There are really many ways to Buddhahood, if only You have the Right Ingredients!

SZ shared the above Mindset on 12/10/95, which is almost 20 years!
With Maha Perfection Dharma sharings from Him now, IF You are still lost and wandering around wasting the Limited Time that you have with a Human Form to cultivate, BEST WAKE UP NOW!

Cheers all
