Physical Altars – Need Them? 有形坛城-需要吗?

Terjemahan Indonesia: Altar Fisik – Perlukah?

Altar in one of the halls at Nirvana memorial gardens. Singapore.
We did merits dedication on a voluntary basis, all expenses incurred paid by Lotuschef & fellow students. Including charity supplies donated to charity after the session.

A temporary altar that Pure Karma sets up each session, for Fire Puja event outdoor.

Pure Karma's indoor altar. Very clear and simple and most important, Welcoming!

This is a celebration in China, in honor of Zen patriarch, Hui Neng.
Note that Sentient Mindsets had infiltrated into the Purity of Zen Buddhism, shared by Reverend Hui Neng.
Hahaha! Sentient minds "THINK" lots of things are needed!

Another one set up by Pure Karma for outdoor fire puja event.
No cluttered feel, agree?

This one is set up by VM Lian Ye, as per his interpretation of Core's published guidelines!
Does it gives you the a "GOOD" feel? :)

The above already shared in recent post. "FEEL" weird!

The 2 above is an altar which is just not right. Statues for dragon-side went to tiger-side and vice-versa. The eyes of the buddha statues also weird or sinister looking!

We rearrange the altar and re-invoke the respective Divinities & Deities to grace the altar with their continued presence!

In Tantrayana, when you start to cultivate, you might need a simple altar.
However, don't set up a complicated one with lots of statues which YOU THINK or Someone Say YOU NEED!

Hahaha!
As you progress in the cultivation hierarchy, as per SZ, you are the altar or mandala.
Or more precisely, your body is your mandala!

Even in temples, too many statues only complicate ONE!

For all of us in TBS, YOU ONLY NEED ROOT GURU, PADMAKUMARA, THE LIVING BUDDHA LIAN SHENG!

An altar whereby statues are "Occupied" by spirits of animals; ghosts, ..... ?
Best don't have one! :)

We have shared lots on Altars in this blog.
Please go refer.

Cheers all
