愛染明王 Ragaraja

Dear LianChu Fashi,

Long time no see hehe.. Recently I'm quite dilligent in xiufa already, what a good news! While trying to stop a bad habbit >.<

Yesterday, Grandmaster talk about 愛染明王法 as recorded in this youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA2SdVZKkNI

Grandmaster said about the carving 愛染明王 small statue to make as necklace. May I ask if we have to carve it myself or I can buy one?
It would be nice if someone would translate Grandmaster dharmatalk to article.

I have already chosen 愛染明王 as my Dharmapala too, and have sent a letter via our local temple's  Fashi from Jakarta to Grandmaster.

Thank you LianChu Fashi for reading my letter. Cheers!

Rāgarāja (Sanskrit: रागाराजा; traditional Chinese: 愛染明王; simplified Chinese: 爱染明王; pinyin: Àirǎn Míngwáng; Japanese: 愛染明王) is a Mahayana Buddhist deity from the Esoteric and Vajrayana traditions. He is especially venerated in the Japanese Buddhist schools of Shingon and Tendai, and the general Chinese Esoteric schools of Tángmì and Mìzōng.

Nomenclature

Rāgarāja is known to transform worldly lust into spiritual awakening. Originally a Hindu deity, he was adapted into Mahayana Buddhism. When scriptures related to him reached China during the Tang Dynasty, his Sanskrit name was translated into Àirǎn Míngwáng (literally "Lustful Tinted Wisdom King"). In Japanese, it is written the same way in Kanji but pronounced as Aizen Myō'ō.

Depiction

Rāgarāja is a vidyaraja or "Wisdom King" like Acalanatha and is among the group of The Eight Wisdom Kings. There are four different mandalas associated with Rāgarāja.

The first posits him with thirty-seven assistant devas, the second with seventeen.
The other two are special arrangements, one made by Chisho Daishi, fourth patriarch of the Tendai sect, the other a Shiki mandala which represents deities using their mantra seed syllables drawn in bonji.

He is portrayed as a red-skinned man with a fearsome appearance and flaming wild hair that represents suppressed lust and passion.
There is usually a lion's head on top of his head in his hair.
There are two, four or six armed incarnations of him but the six-armed one is the most common. Those six arms bear a bell, a vajra, an unopened lotus flower, a bow, arrows, and one holding something that we cannot see (only advanced esoteric practitioners know what that thing is.)[1]

According to the "Pavilion of Vajra Peak and all its Yogas and Yogins Sutra" with the abbreviated name of the "Yogins Sutra", possibly an apocryphal work attributed to the great Buddhist patriarch Vajrabodhi, Rāgarāja represents the state at which sexual excitement or agitation can be channeled towards enlightenment and passionate love can become compassion for all living things.

Rāgarāja is similar to the dakini Kurukulle in Tibetan Buddhism.

In Reply to carving:-
I am not sure about carving, however, you can draw the image too.
Most carving comes without the vase at the base.

This is another "wisdom king" and as per Core, need personal transmission from Root Guru.

Guru gave Abhiseka of Ragaraja in Jakarta in 2011 at Mada Tantri.
Did you attend?

You get Abhiseka for mantra chanting only, if through written way.

Cannot cultivate Sadhana for Ragaraja as per Core.

I will try and transcribe the speeches for 23 & 24 February 2013 as these are really very Complete.
Supersedes most yidam practices and also the Taoist practices like those transmitted on 17 February at Huang Ti Temple.

Hahaha!
Wealth from Heavenly or Universal Deities and Divinities are immense and immeasurable!
Why chase those from Taoist or mostly sentient wealth or fortune???

I think it is Time that all TBS's students wake up and look at what they are Chasing all these while!!!

Yes! Wake up and don't let others lie and cheat you and also control you!

Take Charge of your own life!!!

The Hand that is unknown in the above, is holding Chanting Beads and the companion hand is holding a lotus.
The next pair of hands holding Bow & Arrow.
The last pair is holding Vajra & Bell.

Cheers All
