Lotuschef at Play - Buddhist Institution or Commercial Organisation?

These are my personal experiences, yours might not be the same.
The abbot of a local monastery greeted me one morning: Shijie, you didn't visit for quite some time already.
I said: Good morning, da shi-fu.
He smiled and walked away.
An old lady that I befriended for some time while doing voluntary work came over, and she said: When I greeted him, he (meaning the abbot) ignored me. More than one time already, however, he walked over to greet you and talk to you. He is very 'big small eye'!

I started to observe the abbot from then on! :)
During the festive seasons, many aged followers would knee in front of the abbot and offer him 'red-packet', however, his expression and body language is one of being very bored.
However, when the ones greeting him are those VIPs, he put on a smile and make his way to greet them!

One such VIP came and she happened to sit on one of the chair we moved over for special purposes. Therefore a member of my team went and ask her to vacate the chair.
This VIP shouted for the person in charge of equipment and she asked him: I can't even sit on a chair in this temple which I supported for the past decade? The temple is so poor that can't even let me rest on a chair?..........

Hahaha! I thought when I joined TBS, things will be different!

During my training in Seattle, I witnessed first hand, many occurrences that are no different from the local temple. When following Guru around Taiwan and then HongKong and Australia, on & off, for about 3 months; things are even more interestingly preposterous!!!
Finally to cap all these, Jakarta in 2011!!!
They even have VVIPs, not just VIPs! Hahaha!

Question: does these people that financially support temples, know that if they expect special treatment then their merits of supporting Sanghas to propagate Buddha Dharma and succor sentient beings, all gone down the drains?

Like the question I asked a student, if your money to support certain Sangha is used to pay for hits at your Guru, would you still continue?

Actually, most people think that Guru is not aware of all these going on. However, did you hear Guru jokingly said: O! VVIPs!!!

The masters that pushed aside Sanghas and let these VVIPs or VIPs sit on chair on level with them and high above Sanghas are really in big trouble.
Hahaha! Seems not many truly understand Disciplines but think to use them as Threats to subdue others or penalize those that don't obey them!

My humble advice to those VVIPs or VIPs, raising yourself above Sanghas actually made you breach disciplines of disrespect for Sanghas.
A student sitting on the same dining table with me and a group of Sanghas while in Hongkong, asked one Sangha pointedly out loud: Are you the one that the paparazzi caught yawning on camera? You bring shame to our sector! ............
She didn't even listen to the NO from her victim, and she fired.
We are sitting at a table beside Guru. Think Guru didn't hear her? :)
She is pretty famous and the subject of the defamers too!

Her rudeness to Sanghas and her regular companion's, went unnoticed by the Dharmapalas?
Hahaha!

Buddha said without Affinity, we can't help them. As their karmic negatives prevent them from understanding Dharma.

However, even the ordinated sanghas and masters seem to embrace Sentient Material more than Buddha Dharma!!!

Anyway, Guru speech yesterday was very illuminating about people not interested in Wisdom but blinded by Fortune Deities.
So, most of those "people" are students and they are chasing Sentient Material more that Cultivation  to free themselves from Samsara!

Guru said, actually with Wisdom you can accumulate more wealth!!!
Think on this statement.
In my humble opinion, most students in TBS are not interested in Cultivation and also didn't know the True Purpose of Cultivation!
Hahaha! Think you realized the Enormity of Guru's task to succor all? :)
