21-7-2011 Repentance Prayers

Dear all that sent me invitations or notices to attend Emperor Liang's repentance recently - A sincere Thank you.

I will again make my views on this prayers known.

1. GM has already said that in Tantrayana, the Greatest Repentance is Vajrasattva's 100-syllable mantra repentance.

2. Last year after Emperor Liang's repentance in Caodun temple, GM reiterated the importance of 100-syllable mantra repentance for us students of Tantrayana leanings.

3. This repentance has 10 chapters & take at least 4 full days to complete. Then followed by a Bardo event for everything to be fully done. Too much time & resources expanded on it.

4.100-syllable mantra repentance - one can do easily at home daily with dedication to all sentient beings.

5. I conduct 100-syllable mantra repentance marathon regularly, [chanting at least one string of beads] of at least once a month, which I feel is sufficient.

6. I always got placed very near the speakers that blast my ears off, resulting in headaches induced by extreme decibels of sound wave. Prolonged exposure can result in SOUND INDUCED DEAFNESS.

I have to admit there is value in the constant kneeling & bowing which is good exercise for one's body.
Alas doing them for a whole day & over 4 consecutive days negates the benefit but instead over-stress the body.

There is True Buddha Repentance which is very specific to us all in True Buddha School, why don't do this more often?

I sincerely believe that GM's statements should be heeded, do you all agree?

I also believe to cultivate happily & sharing that happiness around, do you?

Therefore, I do not wish to allocate time & resources for something that I do not concur with HEARTILY!

HAHAHA!

  1. Lian Chu Fashi,

Some people need to know what they do wrong before they feel remorseful and bring forth a repentance mind.

In Emperor Liang Repentance text, many of our transgressions that we have/may have commited are written. The text reminds us of many things that we think is OK, but it actually creates negative karma. It explains why some people are burnt by fire to death, born with repulsive looks, some breaks their bones, isolated by their family and friends, some are born as human but with many sickness or incomplete body organ. It also explains about the cause of evil destiny, i.e. resentment.
