On Sunday 8-5-2011, we had 16 Dharma students wearing the yellow ceremonial robe.
Haha! many came & peep outside the hall we were doing the Dharani Chanting Dedication.
In Sutrayana, the High priest or monk wears Yellow Robe & the rest grey/brown robes.
In TBS, upon taking refuge, we can wear the yellow robe.
Someone reprimanded one of the attendees. She said that the robe can only wear for big ceremonies & not to white matter chanting or to places like Nirvana.
The robe become "dirtied" and when she passes away, she can't wear the "dirtied" robe. She has to buy new ones. She also can't give away her robe to the deceased to wear with them.
This is another ignorant one that sprouts a whole chunk of nonsense that make others unhappy and trying to put fear into others, making them feel they have committed some BIG CRIMES.
Please walk away from these people, don't argue or get angry.
They are not worth your wasting any feeling & time on them.
The problem is if you ask this person: have you worn "dirtied" robe & died before? Were you kicked out of heaven/pureland because of your "dirtied" robe?
